Simple Pokemon Go trick gives unlimited free Lucario Mega Energy
NianticWith its Raid Day event done and dusted in Pokemon Go, players can grab free Mega Energy for Lucario daily with an easy trick.
You can make Lucario your Buddy and get 25 Mega Energy for every 5km walked. With no daily limit on the resource, you can earn as much of it as you can each day.
Surprisingly, a bug initially only gave 15 Mega Energy for every 5km with the fan-favorite Pokemon. But, as pointed out by Reddit user ‘lxpb,’ it was soon fixed to provide the expected 25 Energy and fans were thrilled.
Players said they were glad Niantic fixed it quickly, even joking that the devs seem to love Lucario. Earlier, the community applauded them for honoring their typo of giving 13 additional Raid Passes during the event.
However, trainers were more excited to use Mega Lucario in Raids and Team Go Rocket battles, as the addition of the new Fast Move Force Palm made it stronger than before. In fact, it is now the best Fighting-type Pokemon in the game.
While many were farming Mega Energy with Lucario as their Buddy, a common problem plagued the experience of a few players. A person stated: “Not showing that I’ll earn any mega energy with him as my buddy.. just candy.”
To this, another replied, “You have to mega evolve once first before you can walk them.” Remember that once you have Mega Evolved at least one Lucario, you can earn free Mega Energy for any other Lucario in your collection, including its pre-evolution Riolu.
If you have a perfect IV or shiny Riolu in Pokemon Go, give it a second Charged Move before evolving to Lucario. It costs only 10,000 Stardust thanks to being a Baby species while Lucario requires 75,000 Stardust for the second move.
