Professional Call of Duty League player Chance, who is part of the Florida Mutineers roster, has said on Reddit that fans should be “hopeful” for Treyarch’s new 2020 Call of Duty game, releasing later this year.

In a post on Reddit, he notes that Treyarch has already reached out to esports players to get their feedback and have an open discussion about feature sets for Call of Duty 2020 title, which is rumored to be Black Ops Cold War.

Chance says on Reddit that they’ve had meetings to discuss “competitive philosophy” for the 2020 title.

Treyarch has not announced any details on the 2020 Call of Duty game yet.

Many esports fans have been upset over Modern Warfare and the lack of competitive support with Ranked Play and other esports features that professional players like to see in-game. The studio has added GameBattles support, but they have not done any Ranked mode.
