PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge controller overview
Sony is declaring the DualSense Edge to be a high-performance controller with plenty of customizable parts that are set to offer players an advantage in-game. The DualSense Edge comes with an array of interesting features so let’s begin with software.
With the DualSense Edge, you’ll be able to save and swap between different controller settings. This will allow players to opt for their preferred controls based on the type of game they’re playing.
Next, we have customization that has the potential to take your gaming experience to new heights. For starters, you’ll be able to fully remap your controller with specific button inputs. In addition, players can also tweak their stick and trigger sensitivity.
Whether you’re playing FPS games like Modern Warfare 2, or Sports games like FIFA 23, fine-tuning these settings should make for a smoother experience. FPS players will also be pleased to discover that this new controller comes with back buttons and changeable stick caps.
Long-time Call of Duty fans often go out of their way to purchase controllers with these desirable features, but Sony’s DualSense Edge will soon bring them to the table as well.
“Three types of swappable stick caps (standard, high dome, and low dome) help you stay comfortable in game while maintaining grip and stability. The two swappable sets of back buttons (half-dome and lever) can be configured to be any other button input, putting more essential controls at your fingertips.”
Of course, this new and improved PS5 controller also comes with everything that made the standard DualSense wireless so great, like haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and a built-in microphone.
