The new seasonal event in Rainbow Six: Siege is called Apocalypse, and it will introduce a brand-new limited-time mode to the game, along with some neat operator outfits, and more.

Ubisoft frequently finds new ways to keep Rainbow Six: Siege fresh and exciting. This time, they’ve brought some exciting changes in the new seasonal event, Apocalypse, which gives fans plenty of new content to dig through.

As the name implies, this event will place players in a post-apocalyptic setting, and the focus will be on a new limited-time mode. There are also various new skins and cosmetics to unlock, so here’s everything that’s included in Apocalypse.

When does the Rainbow Six: Siege Apocalypse event start?

The Rainbow Six: Siege Apocalypse event began on May 4, and is set to run for two weeks until May 18. The premise behind it is fairly straightforward; the nuclear disaster has destroyed crops, contaminated the water, and poisoned the air.

Now, two different clans will have to battle it out amongst each other for possession of the last living plant, and the victorious team will reap the rewards of the new LTM.

As we mentioned before, two different groups will fight over the last living plant; The Keepers, who want to use it to bring back civilization, and The Warband, who only want to use it to further their own survival.

The Keepers

  • Maestro
  • Melusi
  • Rook
  • Smoke
  • Valkyrie

The Warband

  • Fuze
  • Gridlock
  • Maverick
  • Nomad

Overall, this limited-time mode functions very similarly to the standard bomb mode. The biggest difference is that the plant ends up replacing the bomb in this game mode.

The attacking team is capable of activating scanner rooms to check for nearby opponents, while defenders will attempt to move the plant around the completely reworked Outback map.

New Rainbow Six: Siege skins and cosmetics

As you’d come to expect with any Rainbow Six event, Ubisoft has introduced various cosmetics for players to enjoy in the Apocalypse event.

There are 35 new items, including Charms, Weapon Skins, Operator Headgear, and Uniforms.
