Best FUT players FIFA 22

Here are the 10 best Ultimate Team cards players can get their hands on in FIFA 22 only three months after release.

Three months into Ultimate Team and we’ve seen a considerable amount of top-tier players in FIFA 22. Whether you have the funds to buy these amazing cards on the market or you’re lucky enough to receive one through packs, these cards are a nightmare for opposing players.

Icons and FUT Heroes would undoubtedly dominate this list therefore they will not be included.

Here are the top 10 best Ultimate Team cards in FIFA 22.

Best cards in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team

10. Cristiano Ronaldo – Champions League TOTGS

Who else but CR7 to kick off the list? Although his Rare Gold card isn’t as desirable a card as it once was, Ronaldo remains one of the best players in the game. The fact that other players seem more dominant at the moment speaks to the increase in powerful cards that FIFA 22 players have experienced.

Nonetheless, this Ronaldo Team of the Group Stage card is the perfect striker card that matches multiple play styles. Whether you want to drive into the box with incredible dribbling and 5* skills or use Ronaldo’s 99 jumping stat to be an aerial threat, Ronaldo will feel highly intuitive.

9. Marquinhos – Champions League Live

It would be a shame not to have a CB on this list. As the best CB in the game, Marquinhos earns his spot via a Champions League Live card.

The Brazilian’s pace, strength, and defending statistics make him the ideal CB. Once you factor in absurd short and long passing abilities, it’s clear to see why Marquinhos is one of the best.

Top CBs are often judged by how they “feel” in-game therefore some Rare Gold cards (Kimpembe) can prove to be just as great as the best CBs in FUT’s most recent promos. For this reason, Marquinhos will be the only Defender on this Attack-centric list.

8. Lionel Messi – Ones to Watch

Messi has been an Ultimate Team staple for years now. Packing his card is an ethereal feeling and his Ones to Watch card in FIFA 22 is one of the best. The Argentine’s OTW card is live, meaning it is eligible for additional upgrades. At the moment the 95 rated RW is a menace on the pitch.

His Finesse Shot and Long Shot Taker traits will have your opponents cowering in fear, expecting attempts on goal. All of his stats are excellent and the fact that the winger exhibits strong links with ever-popular Ligue 1 players is a breath of fresh air.

7. Vinicius Junior – La Liga POTM

Vinicius Junior has been one of the most talked-about FUT players this year. All four of Vinicius Junior’s special cards have been highly sought after and this POTM version is by far the best. This is the only player on the list that was available through SBC, although it certainly wasn’t a cheap one.

5* skills and 4* weak foot is a great combination for a winger. Players can use his 99 pace to drive at opponents’ defenders. The Brazilian’s finishing may not be the best but his pace and dribbling will put you in scoring positions more often than not.

6. Mohamed Salah – Champions League TOTGS

Alongside Vinicius, Salah is yet another winger who already boasts four special cards. Of the four, the Champions League Team of the Group Stage card is the top option. Stats-wise, there is no better winger in the Premier League. Salah is a treat at all times with his outstanding shooting, passing, dribbling, and pace.

The one letdown here is the fact that the Liverpool star lacks 5* skills and boasts 3* weak foot. Top FUT players tend to gravitate towards cards with at least 4* weak foot. However, the Premier League links are a big boost.

5. Gabriel Jesus – Versus Fire

Jesus is another card that takes advantage of fantastic chemistry options. His Brazilian nation and Premier League status make fitting him into squads a simple task. 5* skills will make guarding this ST a tough task.

His superb dribbling makes him a shifty striker that should be used to drive into the box rather than lead the line. His 96 acceleration will leave most CBs in the dust, while a finishing stat of 90 rounds out his skill set.

4. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Winter Wildcards

The iconic ST is one of the most recent additions to FUT as part of Winter Wildcards team two. At the time of writing, he is the most expensive player item on the market excluding Icons. Most players won’t have 3 million coins to spare so packing the striker is your best bet.

What makes Zlatan special is his unique frame and skill set. For such a big body, the striker feels nimble and quick to get around defenders. He can utilize 5* skills to create space in the box where the giant usually dominates.

3. Kevin De Bruyne – Signature Signings

Kevin De Bruyne shines as the only midfielder in a list dominated by forwards. Finally, a star with 5* weak foot. De Bruyne is one of the best dual threats in the game. Not only is his ability to create space for forward players incredible thanks to amazing passing and dribbling, but his shooting is also phenomenal.

When KDB runs straight up the pitch at defenders, there is no way to defend. Thanks to his ability to hit the ball with both feet, the CAM can use his 93 shot power and long shot stats to terrorize opponents.

2. Neymar Jr – Winter Wildcards

Neymar is a phenomenal card to own regardless of item type, but this Winter Wildcards takes the Brazilian to the next level. For starters, this card shifts Neymar’s position from LW to ST. This opens up endless possibilities including playing Neymar as a midfielder.

His biggest weakness was always going to be his strength as a striker. To get the best out of Neymar you’re going to want to be mindful of where opposing CBs are positioned. Neymar’s dribbling and pace are obviously outstanding but his passing is highly underrated. This skill set makes him a great option at CAM.

1. Kylian Mbappe – TOTW 9

Mbappe rounds out PSG’s dynamic trio of attacking options. At the moment, this inform version of Mbappe from TOTW 9 is the best attacking option in Ultimate Team. Surprisingly, Mbappe has yet to receive a special card from a FUT promo, although that is rumored to change with the upcoming FUT Headliners promo.

Mbappe feels incredible in-game thanks to his lightning pace and ideal body type. 5* skills, 92 ball control, and 93 Agility will make quick work of defenders. When Mbappe gets a sight at goal he can be trusted thanks to a finishing stat of 94.

Furthermore, the striker’s French ties make him supremely easy to fit into just about any squad.

With more and more amazing cards released with every new FUT promotion, this list is sure to change. However, at the moment these are the best Ultimate Team cards excluding Icons and FUT Hero cards. If you manage to get your hands on one, consider yourself lucky!

Any FIFA 22 Ultimate Team player who happens to have a Twitch and Amazon Prime account can claim free Prime Gaming packs in FUT this year. Here’s an easy step-by-step guide on how to claim yours.

Packs are the lifeblood of FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, and it’s the constant lure of pulling one of the game’s top-rated superstars that keeps millions of fans coming back every day.

Usually, earning packs requires plenty of effort from the player, whether it’s grinding out wins on Division Rivals or taking on Squad Battles offline.

With the Twitch Prime Gaming pack, fans have the chance to earn rewards for absolutely free, and here’s how you can do it.

What are FIFA 22 Twitch Prime Gaming packs?

Twitch Prime Gaming packs are free rewards offered to any FIFA 22 Ultimate Team player with a Twitch account and a valid Amazon Prime Membership.

Players who have subscribed to Amazon Prime automatically have access to Prime Gaming, meaning they qualify for Twitch Prime Gaming packs.

EA has teamed up with the two giant companies to offer players rewards throughout the year, in the form of free packs, containing untradeable cards and player picks.

The rewards are dropped monthly throughout the season, so be sure to keep an eye on EA’s social media for the latest releases.

How to claim FIFA 22 Twitch Prime Gaming packs

In order to claim your free Twitch Prime Gaming pack, you must link all three of your accounts together.

It’s worth noting that if you have an Amazon Prime Membership but no Twitch account, you can create one for the purpose of these rewards.

You can find our guide on how to do this below:

  1. Head over to the Prime Gaming website and link your Twitch account to your Prime Gaming account
  2. Follow the prompts to also link your EA and Twitch accounts
  3. Make sure the EA account you link is the one attached to your FIFA 22 Ultimate Team on your main platform
  4. Head over to Twitch and click on the crown in the top righthand corner of the screen
  5. From this screen, you can claim your Twitch Prime Gaming pack
  6. Load into FIFA 22 Ultimate Team and find your rewards on the store

What’s included in Twitch Prime Gaming Pack #8

The eighth of the Prime Gaming packs in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team has yet to drop, which has bewildered Ultimate Team players. Usually, the pack drops between the 15 and 19, but as of May 24, there is still no sign of it. Rumors suggest that the pack will be arriving on May 25, so players won’t have to wait much longer.

Among the untradeable rewards, there are a handful of rare gold players and player picks, as is customary. However, leaks claim that the loan player available this time will be a valuable Prime Icon on a five-game loan.

  • 7 Rare Gold Players
  • Prime Icon (five-game loan)
  • 2x 82+ Player picks
  • 12 Rare Consumables

That was how you can claim your Twitch Prime Gaming packs in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

FIFA 22 Ultimate Team: Team of the Week 36 predictions: Di Maria, Gundogan, Abraham

FIFA 22’s Team of the Week 36 is set to drop on May 25, and we’ve predicted who will get an in-form card with major stat upgrades.

Published

on

There were plenty of memorable games and goals in the world of football last week. EA Sports are set to drop some new in-form players in packs, and here are the players we think will feature in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team’s Team of the Week 36.

Each and every week, EA drops the Team of the Week into FIFA 22 Ultimate Team to reward the stars who made the headlines in the previous round of fixtures.

The chosen squad of players receive a special card in packs for the next week for FUT fans to hunt down and use to improve their teams.

Next up is Team of the Week 36, so here are our predictions of who will be included in the next FUT TOTW lineup.

FIFA 22 TOTW 36 release date & time

FIFA’s Team of the Week drops weekly, so players can expect TOTW 36 to release on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT, with an announcement from EA usually coming shortly before.

TOTW cards replace the normal cards of the player in packs for the duration of the week, meaning that the upgraded card is the only version it’s possible to pack for seven days.

Each wave of in-forms remains in packs until they are replaced by the next Team of the Week on the following Wednesday.

FIFA 22 TOTW 36 predictions

PSG thrashed Metz on the final day of the season and while Mbappe’s hat-trick was impressive, his likely involvement in the upcoming Ligue 1 TOTS squad should keep him out of TOTW 36. Instead, Angel Di Maria, the man who is departing the club, should receive an in-form card.

Over in the Premier League, Gundogan was the hero of a thrilling Manchester City comeback that saw them secure the title on the final day of the season. Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leão also made major contributions toward a title win on the last day of the season. Don’t be surprised to see one or both of the A.C. Milan players involved this week.

We’ll have to wait until Wednesday to find out the official squad for Team of the Week 36, but, until then, here are our best predictions.

  • Angel Di Maria – PSG – RW
  • Ilkay Gundogan – Manchester City – CM
  • Olivier Giroud – A.C Milan – ST
  • Rafael Leão – A.C Milan – LW
  • Jack Harrison – Leeds – LM
  • Andy Delort – Nice – ST
  • Joaquin Correa – Inter Milan – CF
  • Dejan Kulusevski – Tottenham – RW
  • Mario Balotelli– Adana Demirspor – ST
  • Diego Lopez – Espanyol – GK
  • Joël Veltman – Brighton – CB
  • Cédric Soares– Arsenal – RB
  • Alexander Nubel  – Monaco – GK
  • Reece James – Chelsea – RWB
  • Rodrigo De Paul  – Atletico Madrid – CM
  • Andre-Pierre Gignac – Tigres – ST
  • Tammy Abraham – Roma – ST

Those were our FIFA 22 Team of the Week 36 predictions. We update this page every seven days with the next batch of TOTW guesses, so be sure to check back here every week.

FIFA 22 Ligue 1 TOTS: Release date, predictions, & leaks

FIFA 22 Ligue 1 TOTS is set to be one of the biggest releases on the FUT calendar, here’s everything you need to know about the event.

Published

on

The Ligue 1 TOTS is set to hit FIFA 22 Ultimate Team very soon, celebrating the very best players that the French league has to offer. Here’s everything we know about FIFA 22 Ligue TOTS, from the release date to squad leaks.

FIFA 22 TOTS is well and truly underway, and EA is showering its players constantly with new and exciting content. The Premier League, Bundesliga, and LaLiga squads have made quite an impact on many FUT teams, and the Ligue 1 squad is set to follow suit.

In recent years, Ligue 1 has emerged as one of the most popular leagues in Ultimate Team, with many of the game’s biggest names plying their trade over in France for PSG, Lille, and other clubs. Unsurprisingly, this means the Ligue 1 is always one of the most-anticipated releases of the year.

We’ve got everything you need to know about FIFA 22 Ligue 1 TOTS right here, including the release date, players we expect to feature, and squad leaks.

FIFA 22 Ligue 1 TOTS release date

According to the official schedule announced by EA Sports, Ligue 1 TOTS will come to Ultimate Team on Friday, May 27, 2022. It will replace the LaLiga squad in packs from 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST.

The French league will take center stage for an entire week before being replaced by Serie A on the following Friday.

Don’t worry, though, if you miss out on the player you wanted, the best Ligue 1 players will likely return for Ultimate TOTS on June 10.

FIFA 22 Ligue 1 TOTS voting

Unfortunately, the Ligue 1 TOTS will not take fan votes into account. While the likes of the Premier League and Bundesliga always allow players to vote, other leagues are hand-picked by EA themselves.

The schedule never mentioned a voting window for the French league, and with the squad arriving on May 27, EA will be selecting the elite players involved.

FIFA 22 Ligue 1 TOTS predictions

There have been plenty of stellar performances in Ligue 1 this season. PSG were an unstoppable force as they reclaimed their title, but stars from up and down the table are also worthy of a mention.

Ligue 1 TOTS squad leaks in FIFA 22

Donk is usually on the mark when it comes to squad leaks and they are suggesting that Neymar, Messi, and Mbappe will be included in the Ligue 1 TOTS.

Aside from PSG’s trio of attackers, Marquinhos, Fofana, Tchouameni, and Ben Yedder are expected to be the most sought-after players in the Ligue 1 TOTS squad.
