Report: Black Ops 4 cannot be played till an update releases

As launch approaches, the inevitable leaks usually come as we get closer to launch. It appears, similar to last year, those who get early copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will not be able to play the title until Treyarch releases another update.

One user claiming to have the game early shared an image that states an update is required in order to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which is similar to what Sledgehammer Games did for Call of Duty: WWII prior to launch.

Black Ops 4 requires internet access in order to play, as players will have to download the Day 1 update. It’s not clear yet what day this patch will go live to unlock the game, so stay tuned for updates.
