The PlayStation 5 The Future of Gaming event is officially done, and there was no Call of Duty 2020 reveal in the stream.

Activision has been partnered with PlayStation since 2015 for marketing rights and bonus content promotion for Call of Duty games, so many fans thought the first look at the 2020 title will be coming with the PS5 event.

However, the stream has ended, and there’s no news on the 2020 Call of Duty game still.

Now, per a report from Jason Schreier, who has accurately leaked info on Call of Duty, the reveal might not be happening for a while.

Eurogamer’s editor also said that it is further than most would expect.

Although there was no Call of Duty reveal in the stream, there was a brief appearance at the end of Treyarch’s Studio Lead and Infinity Ward’s Studio Head talking about their excitement for the PS5.

Patrick Kelly, Infinity Ward’s Studio Head, said that the studio ‘can’t wait for the PlayStation 5’ to arrive later this year.

The 2020 Call of Duty is still “on track” for release this fall, Argo said in early May. The rumors are suggest the new game is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, developed by Treyarch.
