Report: Depth of CoD 2021’s integration with Warzone remains ‘uncertain’

How Warzone will evolve with future Call of Duty titles remains up in the air.

According to a new report from VGC, Call of Duty 2021’s full integration with Call of Duty: Warzone is still being determined.

In a new article citing sources, VGC states that Call of Duty 2021 title will see a basic integration with Call of Duty: Warzone that is expected from the new Call of Duty progression systems.

The game will most likely share both the weapons and overall player progression systems upon its release later this year.

But beyond that, a deeper integration remains uncertain, per their sources. Call of Duty 2021, which is reportedly set during WWII, will face challenges fully integrating because of its radical change in setting from both Modern Warfare and Cold War.

VGC says that whether there will be a full new Warzone map for the 2021 game is “uncertain” because of “scheduling issues and shift in setting.” VGC says there could be a potential revamp in 2022, or Activision could hold on a full new map until the 2022 Call of Duty game releases.

As of now, the two games are expected to share weapons and overall progression similar to the integration between Cold War and Warzone. This is something Activision executives have already alluded too in statements, saying Warzone will be ‘front and center’ for Call of Duty for ‘years to come.’

When Black Ops Cold War first launched in November, Warzone only got the game’s Operators to start. Later in December, with Season 1 of Cold War, Activision fully integrated both Warzone & Cold War together – from the progression system to Battle Pass unlocks to weapon integration.

Many fans were upset with how the overall integration went, with Warzone receiving a large batch of new weapons that altered the game’s meta.

Activision executives confirmed back in February 2021 during an earnings call that the studios “learned a lot” on how to best integrate Warzone with premium releases after the Cold War integration in December 2020.

VGC has reported that Call of Duty: Warzone is set to receive a much bigger ‘Black Ops themed’ revamp in April, when a ‘nuke event’ is set to change Verdansk and the game overall. It’ll be a dramatic shift for the title, the biggest since its launch.

Activision executives have also said in recent interviews that Cold War’s ‘1980s theme’ brings a “lot of new opportunities” for content for Warzone.

CoD: Vanguard will continue the tradition of field upgrades, and here is a list of the ones available for players to dominate their enemies with in-game.

As far as loadouts go in Call of Duty, players can take an awful lot with them onto the battlefield. In addition to two firearms, players can mix and match three perks and two pieces of equipment.

On top of that, CoD: Vanguard is once again allowing the use of Field Upgrades. These are a unique third piece of equipment that operates on a cooldown. Where players have a limited number of lethal and tactical equipment, Field Upgrades are limitless and give players various bonuses.

Here are all of the CoD: Vanguard Field Upgrades currently known.

CoD: Vanguard Field Upgrade List

As of right now, there are only five known Field Upgrades in CoD: Vanguard. More upgrades could be added later or when the game releases. For comparison, Warzone and Cold War currently have seven Field Upgrades.

Supply Box

The classic Field Upgrade, Supply Box, returns in Vanguard. The player throws down a box of Ammo and Equipment for themselves and their teammates to stock up. The box explodes when shot. This Field Upgrade has a fast recharge rate.

Armor Plates

Armor Plates function exactly as they do in Warzone. Using this Field Upgrade allows players to take a few more hits before going down. Armor Plates have a fast recharge rate.

Goliath

A new Field Upgrade, Goliath, is a small remote-control bomb that players can drive like the RCXD. Players can drive this tank-like bomb for 30 seconds before it explodes, or they can detonate it early. The Goliath has a slow recharge rate.

Field Mic

The Field Mic operates as a stationary UAV that covers a minimal area. Players who pass through this area will be marked on the map briefly. The Field Mic has a slow recharge rate.

Dead Silence

Another classic Field Upgrade, Dead Silence, allows you to move without making any noise. This buff only lasts for a few seconds but should be long enough for you to flank your enemies without being detected. Dead Silence has a fast recharge rate.

Those are all of the CoD: Vanguard Field Upgrades that are in the game currently. However, there will likely be more to come in the future. Although, players aren’t too happy with some of the ones we have now.

Call of Duty: Vanguard will introduce various changes to the franchise’s beloved Multiplayer, one of which seems to be a crazy amount of weapon camos.

Call of Duty: Vanguard has enjoyed its final weekend of the Multiplayer Beta, which officially ends September 21. Not only have players be able to get to grips with the new gameplay, but players have also been able to provide the developers with feedback.

Having said that, players weren’t able to explore the weapon camos on the Beta, but recent leaks have revealed some pretty exciting details.

Vanguard character with a gun

Although the game is set to release on November 5, players already have a decent idea of what to expect on launch, thanks to the Multiplayer Beta and the recent leaks surrounding the game’s Zombies mode.

Now, thanks to renowned Call of Duty leaker ZestyCODLeaks, some pretty interesting details surrounding camos in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Call of Duty: Vanguard camos leak

The leak claims that Vanguard will have “an ASTOUNDING 245 camos PER GUN.” This is an unprecedented number when it comes to Call of Duty Camos, and it’s by far the most seen in the Multiplayer experience, if it’s true.

Using the STG-44 and MG42‘s code in the Vanguard files, Zesty has worked out that each gun will have around 245 camos.

The leak also suggests that there will be Mastery, CDL, and perhaps even Zombies camos for every weapon in Vanguard.

Lastly, Zesty also revealed the type of challenges players can expect to be doing when trying to unlock this insane amount of camos.

Like previous Call of Duty games, players will be doing challenges like crouch kills, assists, and kills with no attachments. However, some new challenges in the mix will take advantage of the Point Blank mechanic, which allows players to shoot out of cover.

That’s all for this CoD: Vanguard camos leak. For more, check out all of the Vanguard Ammo Types players can use to dominate their enemies.

Best Assault Rifle loadouts for Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta

Call of Duty: Vanguard has a great selection of top Assault Rifles, so here are the best loadouts to improve your chances of success.

A mean and accurate Assault Rifle is always a good source of fun in Call of Duty. Sledgehammer Games has made sure that players have several incredible guns to choose from, so here are the best loadouts for every Assault Rifle in Vanguard.

It’s another year, which means another Call of Duty game jam-packed full of guns competing with each other to come out on top.

Black Ops Cold War has beasts such as the Krig 6 and EM2 vying for supremacy, but turning back the clock to World War II changes the dynamic of the weapons. The Vanguard Beta has allowed players a chance to try out its ARs and see which they like best.

We have gone through each of Vanguard’s Assult Rifles and decided to rank them from worst to best.

Best AR in Vanguard Ranked List

Here is our complete list of every AR in Call of Duty: Vanguard, taking into account all of their vital statistics, and how they feel.

Here is every Vanguard Assault Rifle ranked:

  1. STG44
  2. Volk
  3. BAR
  4. Itra Burst
  5. NZ-41

Best Vanguard AR loadouts

For a more detailed look into every Call of Duty: Vanguard Assault Rifle, we’ve gone through each gun and explained the logic behind their positions.

These ARs all have a use, and depending on your preferences, you could find that one works better than another.

5. NZ-41

cod vanguard nz-41 assault rifle

Of all the Assault Rifles on this ranked list, the NZ-41 seems to be the one that gets lost in the shuffle.

  • Muzzle: Quicksilver SIlencer
  • Optic: State Reflector
  • Stock: LOR Reinforced
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Handstop
  • Magazine: 6.5MM Arisaka 45 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: Subsonic
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Proficiency: Brace
  • Kit: Fully Loaded

In many Call of Duty games, you’ll get weapons that don’t necessarily perform badly, it’s just that there are few redeeming qualities about them that make them desirable. The NZ-41 carries that vibe, despite its decent accuracy and firepower, and it’s not helped by some erratic recoil that doesn’t hold up to later weapons on this ranked Assault Rifle list.

4. Itra Burst

itra burst ar in cod vanguard

Defying normal conventions with burst weapons, the Itra Burst fires 4-round spurts of deadly potential.

  • Muzzle: Recoil Booster
  • Barrel: Botti 300MM CXII
  • Optic: MK 3 Sunfilter
  • Stock: Botti DII Grip
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Handstop
  • Magazine: 8MM Jaeger 32 Round Drums
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
  • Proficiency: Vital
  • Kit: On-Hand

As is usually the case with burst weapons, the Itra Burst is a very risk and reward weapon with accurate players able to benefit greatly from it. Its main fault sticks out like a sore thumb, and it’s that you’ll only get five bursts to take down an opponent or two.

Thankfully, attachments can improve this drastically, making the Itra Burst a must-try weapon to see if it’s for you.

3. BAR

cod vanguard bar assault rifle

Call of Duty: Vanguard’s selection of Assault Rifles begins to vary with the top 3, and the BAR is the epitome of this.

  • Muzzle: A2 Flash Hider
  • Barrel: Chariot 18″ Rapid
  • Optic: Zeiss G16 2.5x
  • Stock: Chariot WR
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Handstop
  • Magazine: .50 BMG 30 Round Mag
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Proficiency: Hardscope
  • Kit: Fully Loaded

Of all the ARs, the BAR seems to have the most noticeable impact at mid-to-long-range fights, which is supposed to be offset by its 20 round mag. As we know, the BAR can hold 30 rounds quite easily, and this helps to keep the BAR firing its strong rounds for longer.

Don’t expect to win every close-range skirmish though, but have confidence that the BAR can the job done.

2. Volk

volk assault rifle in cod vanguard

The initial reaction to the Volk has been more of a muted one because players need to hit the max Level Cap of 30 to be able to use it.

  • Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
  • Barrel: Krausnick 428MM 05V
  • Optic: State Reflector
  • Stock: Reisdorf 22V Adjustable
  • Underbarrel: MK6 Para
  • Magazine: .30 Russian Short 45 Round Drums
  • Ammo Type: Subsonic
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Proficiency: Sleight of Hand
  • Kit: Defender

The reality is that the Volk is really good, and its undisputed feature is its fire rate. It has the essence of an SMG within it but is still very much a powerful Assault Rifle in Vanguard.

The recoil may deter players, but as usual, if the Volk has the right attachments on it, it immediately becomes a force to be reckoned with.

1. STG44

stg44 assault rifle in cod vanguard

In the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta, the STG44 has risen above the rest and impressed as the best Assault Rifle in the game.

  • Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
  • Barrel: VDD 760MM 05B
  • Optic: Zeiss G16 2.5X
  • Stock: VDD 27 Precision
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Handstop
  • Magazine: .30 Russian Short 30 Round Mags
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip
  • Proficiency: Sleight of Hand
  • Kit: Fully Loaded

Its recoil pattern is extremely easy to learn and only gets better once you start slapping some goodies on it. It can perform in any length of engagement and has enough firepower to not require you to be the world’s leading marksmen to kill with it.

There’s always a chance that Sledgehammer Games will alter the stats of these guns before the game’s release, so it’s worth having one or two guns in mind when deciding on what your main loadouts will be.
