What are Spinels in Resident Evil 4 Remake? Uses & how to get
During a playthrough of the Resident Evil 4 remake, players will come across an item called Spinels, but what are they and how can you use them?
There are many items to collect in the Resident Evil 4 Remake that will help you along your journey to beating the game. Those familiar with the original will be aware of an item called Spinels, but even experienced players may be confused as to their purpose in the RE4 Remake.
In the 2005 version of the game, Spinels were just an item players could find and sell for money, or Pesetas as they’re known in-game. However, in the Resident Evil 4 Remake, they are much more useful, so here’s our guide on what they are and how to get them.
What are Spinels used for in Resident Evil 4?
Spinels are a treasured item in Resident Evil 4 that players can find as loot around the game world. While in the previous game they could only be sold to the Merchant, this time around they also act as a currency which players can buy items with.
The items you can purchase from the Merchant with Spinels can not be purchased with Pesetas, which gives them even more value. You can also take them with you into New Game Plus.
What can you buy with Spinels in Resident Evil 4 Remake?
Spinels can be used to purchase exclusive items from the Merchant including Treasure Maps, which cost 1 Spinel each and are extremely valuable for finding treasure in-game to get more Pesetas and also complete side missions such as finding Blue Medallions.
That said, you can also buy items like Yellow Herbs, Upgrade Tokens, exclusive weapons, attachments, and more. It’s definitely worth spending and finding more of these to purchase those exclusive items, especially weapons like the Punisher pistol, which is more powerful than the one you start the game with.
How to find Spinels in Resident Evil 4 Remake
In the Resident Evil 4 Remake, Spinels can be found in breakable boxes and other places you find loot in the game, but arguably the best way to get them is by completing Requests for the Merchant, which are the side missions found on blue letters around the game’s map.
Completing these jobs and searching the map for loot will have you stocked up on Spinels in the Resident Evil 4 Remake in no time.
