Rocket League will release a brand-new season full of content for players to obtain. Here’s when Rocket League Season 8 will be dropping, as well as the content players can expect.
Rocket League is continuing to thrive with its seasonal updates, offering players new content such as challenges, rewards, new cars, and more across all platforms.
With Season 7 set to end soon, the free-to-play game with super acrobatic rocket-powered battle cars is set to get a brand-new seasonal update, as Rocket League enters its eighth season.

Rocket League Season 8 release date
Rocket League Season 8 will release on September 7, 2022, at around 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET / 12 AM BST (September 8) and will end on December 7, giving players three months to complete the new Rocket Pass.
This is also the same day that Season 7 will culminate, giving players until September 7 to get everything they wish in the Season 7 Rocket Pass, as once this date rolls around, Season 8 will begin.
Inspired by the new map, Rocket League Season 8 is called “Hit the Streets,” and its Rocket Pass will be filled with “Streetwear” themed cosmetics.
Rocket League Season 8 map: Sovereign Heights
As well as a brand-new Rocket Pass to get through filled with cosmetics and rewards, players will also be gifted a brand-new arena called Sovereign Heights.
Set in the streets of the “dynamic neighborhood of Sovereign Heights,” this underground Soccer arena is set to stage gritty Rocket League matches under the lights.
Players will also be getting a new Hoops Arena later in the season.
Rocket League Season 8 Rocket Pass content
Honda Civic & Edgelight
As well as free items such as the Windowed Paint Finish, Chocolate Chip Antenna, and Krush Decal, the Rocket League Season 8 Rocket Pass also brings the “first-ever IRL car to come included in Rocket Pass Premium.”
With the Octane’s hitbox, the Honda Civic Type R will arrive in the Season 8 Premium Rocket Pass as an instant unlock, and an upgraded Honda Civic Type R-LE is also available at Tier 35.
Along with the Honda Civic, players can also get the Edgelight package, which is a glowing visual effect that “wraps the bottom of the car’s body kit and will be applied automatically while using a Painted version of either the Honda Civic Type R or Honda Civic Type R-LE. These Painted versions are found above Tier 70 in the Rocket Pass Pro Tiers.”
As well as all these, there is also a variety of street-inspired cosmetics up for grabs through the tiers. Once players reach Tier 70, they can then start unlocking “Pro Rewards,” including painted versions of the Rocket Pass cosmetics.
