The PPSh-41 is a dominant SMG, and that secret buff that it received in the Warzone Pacific Season 2 update has made it into one of the fastest-killing weapons in the game.

The Warzone Pacific Season 2 update arrived on February 14, bringing Redeploy Balloons, new guns like the  Whitley LMG and KG M40 Assault Rifle, as well as some weapon balancing updates.

While weapons like the MP40 and C58 were hit with nerfs in the new update, the PPSh-41 SMG received a major damage buff that made it into one of the fastest-killing weapons that you can use in Caldera.

Warzone stats expert JGOD examined the changes to the PPSh SMG following Warzone Pacific’s Season 2 update in a new video, describing the weapon as “broken” thanks to the stealth buff.

Based on his findings, the gun’s TTK (Time-To-Kill) averages out at about 419 milliseconds, which is noticeably faster than its rivals, making it one of the most powerful weapons in the game.

JGOD describes the PPSh’s TTK as “insane,” and stated that these changes might have been an “accident” because of just how much more dangerous the weapon has become in Warzone Pacific Season 2.

If JGOD is correct about this being an accidental change that shouldn’t have been shipped out with the update, we expect Raven Software to retune the PPSh back down and fix this issue in a coming update patch.

Until that happens, you might see players trying out this weapon more frequently on Caldera, as the current TTK allows you to eliminate enemies extremely quickly even when you’re just shooting their feet.

We’ll keep checking for any updates regarding the PPSh SMG’s secret buff and will be sure to let you know as soon as Raven Software announce and implement a proper fix for the weapon in Warzone Pacific Season 2.
