Battlefield 2042 players desperate to see classic features return
Battlefield 2042 players are calling for the return of some classic features from the franchise’s previous Multiplayer modes.
Battlefield 2042 is finally here, and while some players have been enjoying the Multiplayer mode, some feel it needs to bring some classic features back.
New mechanics such as the Plus system have been welcomed, but some players feel some classic features need to return.
Battlefield 2042 scoreboard
Reddit user At0m11c wants one simple feature to return from previous Battlefield games. In their recent post, they call for the devs to “Bring back the traditional Scoreboard!”
The scoreboard is an important part of Multiplayer FPS games, especially Battlefield. In the past, Battlefield’s scoreboard has provided information such as all the players on the teams and their performance.
The new scoreboard in Battlefield 2042 gives players much less information. Although it does give you a clear breakdown of your own performance, there isn’t much on the whole lobby.
The player believes the devs should bring the Battlefield 4 scoreboard back, calling it “a perfect scoreboard.” They aren’t the only one who feels this way either, as many are disappointed with the change: “Is that seriously not in the game? Very disappointing.”
Battlefield 2042 medic indicator
Further, a Reddit user by the name of jamesswazz has pointed out yet another classic feature the players would like to return in Battlefield 2042. Much like the scoreboard issue, players aren’t happy that there is less information on nearby medics.
Back in previous iterations, players could see how close a medic was to them when they were down. This stopped players from quickly respawning and letting themselves bleed out. The Reddit user has played the medic role in the previous Battlefield games, and always enjoyed “running around reviving everyone.”
Having said that, the player feels that “the opportunities to revive in 2042 are non-existent,” mostly due to the lack of a medic indicator.
Players are confused as to how this feature didn’t make the final game. The user feels DICE needs to add it in order to save the gameplay: “This needs to change for the sake of the game.”
We’ll have to wait and see whether or not DICE decides to return these classic features. One thing to note is that the game is currently very new and will likely go through various updates.

Best DP27 loadout for CoD: Vanguard
The Vanguard DP27 is one of the best LMGs in the game. Try these attachments and perks to make the best DP27 Loadout.
Vanguard’s DP27 can be a lethal weapon of choice for players who like an LMG. Here are the best attachments and perks you can use for the Vanguard DP27.
The Vanguard DP27 is a strong LMG option with great range and power, especially when combined with the following attachments and perks.
Best Vanguard DP27 loadout attachments
- Muzzle: Mercury Silencer
- Barrel: Kovalevskaya 604MM
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Stock: ZAC S2M
- Underbarrel: Mark IV Skeletal
- Magazine: 7.62x54MMR 105 Round Pans
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
- Proficiency: Sleight of Hand
- Kit: Fully Loaded
The Mercury Silencer gives the DP27 some slight recoil control. This is definitely needed as the fire rate is surprisingly fast for an LMG. The Slate Reflector optic will also help you stay on target, especially as the iron sights aren’t the best.
Next, the ZAC S2M, Fabric Grip, and Mark IV Skeletal will all improve the Vanguard DP27’s ADS and sprint to fire speed. These attachments are vital, as the weapon is an LMG, so these stats definitely need boosting.
The Lengthened Ammo Type and Kovalevskaya 604MM barrel will increase the DP27’s bullet velocity. This allows the weapon’s bullets to hit the target faster.
Sleight of Hand is a must with this weapon, as you will find yourself reloading quite a lot thanks to the fast fire rate. Further, Fully Loaded will mean you spawn with full ammo, so you won’t have to worry about running out when on a killstreak.
Lastly, the 7.62x54MMR 105 Round Pans will give you even more ammo in a clip. This is great as you will be able to take out multiple enemies without even having to reload.
Best Perks to use with the DP27
- Perk 1: Ghost
- Perk 2: Piercing Vision
- Perk 3: Lightweight
Ghost is a classic Call of Duty perk, and its benefits are obvious. Ghost will make you undetectable by Spy Planes, enemy intel, and Field Mics while moving. It will also reduce the effectiveness of Local Informants, which is one of the strongest Killstreaks in the game.
The next Perk is Piercing vision, which is great for LMGs in general. As you will likely be spraying through objects a lot with the DP27, this perk will highlight enemies you’ve suppressed for a short time. This is great for finishing kills through walls and smoke.
Lastly, Lightweight will counter the reduced movement speed caused by the LMG. This will keep you fast on your feet, allowing you to reposition effectively.
How to unlock the DP27 in Vanguard
In order to unlock the DP27, players must reach Level 18 in Vanguard’s Multiplayer.
Luckily this isn’t too high of a level, but some of the attachments and perks in the loadout are. If you want to level up fast, check out our guide.

Bizarre Vanguard glitch is making Operators completely silent
The Ninja Perk is making three Vanguard Operators completely silent, giving players a major edge over their opponents.
When it comes to moving silently in Call of Duty: Vanguard, a strange bug involving the Ninja perk has been discovered that lets players mantle quietly.
Equipping the Ninja perk in Vanguard is meant to reduce the noise players make while moving. For some Operators, equipping Ninja goes far beyond the expected result of reducing noise, to eliminating it altogether.
Only a few short days following the release of Vanguard, some players began to notice distinct audio differences influenced by the choice of Operator. When the Ninja perk is equipped in the first perk slot, players gain the ability to move silently, coupled with the reduction of fall damage and the ability to limit the effectiveness of enemy Tracker perks. It has been noted that certain Operators exhibit silent movements, while others grunt when mantling and falling.
The three Operators who remain silent through mantling and falling are Padmavati, Constanze, and Beatrice. Performing mantling or falling movements with the remaining Operators will still result in a grunt audio queue that may give away your location.
This bug offers quite a massive advantage to players using these Operators when competing in game modes that rely on audio queues. For example, the ability to move in complete silence can give players the upper hand in Search & Destroy.

Sledgehammer Games omitted the Ninja perk in Modern Warfare in favor of the Dead Silence Field Upgrade. Much to the delight of the Call of Duty community, the developers reinstated the Perk in this iteration of the franchise. They also included Dead Silence as a Field Upgrade, giving players multiple opportunities to make sneaky plays.
Vanguard has given players a lot to think about when it comes to the Perk selection. This is especially true for the first Perk slot, as Fortified, Ghost, Ninja, Survival Training, and Cold Blooded each offer a ton of value. Deciding which perk best suits your play style, is often the dealbreaker between the five stellar options.
This isn’t the first bug to be found and reported in Vanguard, as issues with the Mortor Barrage have been affecting players in-game. Another game-breaking exploit was brought to the attention of players over the weekend, which allows players on offense to know the exact moment a player is defusing the bomb in Search & Destroy.
As players continue to test and experiment with gameplay mechanics during Vanguard’s first week, there’s no doubt that we will continue to see more and more bugs like this one brought to our attention. Here’s hoping Sledgehammer acts fast to solve reported issues as they arise.
