Best skills in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – Lightsaber, Force & Survival
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players have plenty of options when it comes to unlocking new skills for Cal, but knowing where to invest your skill points can be tough. Here are the best skills to unlock in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor in the Lightsaber, Force, and Survival trees.
Fours years on from Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor expands on the original in almost every way. The sequel offers players much larger planets to explore and a ton more cosmetic options to unlock, which even allows them to create iconic Star Wars characters.
Jedi: Survivor also comes with plenty of new skills for players to unlock over the course of Cal’s journey, but with three different skill trees and five combat stances to choose from, picking the right abilities can be tough.
Here’s a breakdown of all the best skills in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that players should unlock as soon as possible.
Best skills in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
In total, there are three different areas that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players can invest their skill points in; Lightsaber, Force, and Survival. Each of these skill trees improves a specific part of Cal’s arsenal, and we’ve got a description of all three below:
- Lightsaber: Unlocks new attacks and moves when using one of the fight combat stances.
- Force: Improves Cal’s knowledge of the Force, allowing him to use more powerful attacks and mind tricks.
- Survival: Focuses on keeping Cal alive by increasing his health.
Each skill tree has plenty of room to experiment, so here are all of the best skills you should unlock in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Best Survival skills in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Improved & Perfected Stim Formula
The further players get in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s main story, the more difficult the enemies and boss encounters become, with many able to lay waste to Cal’s health in a couple of blows. This means you’ll be relying on his Stims more and more often.
By unlocking Improved and Perfected Stim Formula, each one will restore more health to keep you alive and in the fight for longer. You can also find extra Stim slots by exploring certain planets, making these skills even more valuable.
Survival skills
While restoring health is vital, increasing Cal’s best health is also essential when trying to make it through some of the tougher sections of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Luckily, Survival Skills does just that, allowing you to take more hits before having to burn through a Stim.
Best Lightsaber skills in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Dash Strike (Single)
Dash strike is one of the best Lightsaber skills in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, as it drastically increases the range that the single stance can attack enemies from, opening the door for some nice counter-attacking opportunities.
This skill lets Cal quickly lunge forward to close the gap on unsuspecting Stormtroopers, allowing him to dash away from incoming attacks before unleashing a deadly strike of his own. If you prefer the more traditional lightsaber stance, then unlocking Dash Strike is a must.
Vortex Dive (Double-bladed)
The double-bladed stance is ideal for dealing with large groups of enemies, and the Vortex Dive lets players deal extra damage while also staying on the move.
Performing a Vortex Dive sees Cal throw himself forward while spinning his lightsaber around, helping to break the guard of any enemies it hits, as well as moving them to one side to give him some much-needed breathing room.
Precision Release (Dual wield)
Cal’s new Dual Weild stance is already one of the best options in the game, and the Precision Release skill takes it to new heights. By holding the automatic parry button and releasing just as an enemy attacks, the Jedi hits back with a powerful blow that deals big damage and stuns opponents.
When used effectively, players can use this to quickly thin the heard without taking any damage, and it should become a staple of your arsenal as you progress through Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s story.
Energizing Flurry (Blaster)
Wielding a blaster is perfect for taking out distant enemies in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but running out of ammo brings everything to a halt and leaves you open to incoming attacks.
With the Energizing Flurry skill, players can replenish their blaster with every strike of the lightsaber, which means you can consistently switch between the two to stay on the offensive.
Sundering Swipe (Crossguard)
The Crossguard stance has already emerged as a popular choice among fans, and the Sundering Swipe skill complements it beautifully. It lets Cal hit foes with a heavy swing that dishes out huge damage and can affect multiple targets.
This Kylo Ren-inspired playstyle is much slower than other stances, so the ability to take out more than one enemy in one fell swoop reduces your likelihood of being overwhelmed, making it one of the best skills in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
Best Force skills in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Confusion Mastery (Confusion)
Nothing sells the power fantasy of being a Jedi Knight quite like manipulating Stormtroopers into fighting one another, and Confusion Mastery makes Cal incredibly skilled in mind tricks.
With this skill unlocked, players will be able to convince even the strongest humanoid characters into doing their bidding, directing some of the heat away from them while they pick off those that are left.
Enlightened Attunement (Jedi concentration)
While Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gives players plenty of powerful abilities to use, they can quickly drain your Force meter and leave you on the back foot.
Enlightened Attunement boosts your Force capacity to its maximum, ensuring you can make full use of your Jedi moveset without having to worry about running out.
Howling Push (Telekinesis)
As groups of enemies grow bigger and stronger, it becomes increasingly important to find ways of taking out larger threats quickly to even the odds. Thankfully, many of the planets that players visit have well-placed cliffs that pair nicely with the Force Push ability.
By unlocking the Howling Push skill, Cal can push much bigger enemies away and cover a larger area, creating opportunities to knock multiple opponents off the side and clear the way.
There you have it, those were the best skills in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor that we think you should unlock.
