BethesdaWhen traveling from planet to planet in Starfield, your ship is your best friend and you’ll need to take care of it. Here’s how you can repair your ship in Starfield to get back on your travels.
Starfield is host to an immense amount of content, from a large number of planets to explore and an extensive story and side missions to a crazy amount of customization for not only your character but also your ship.
In Bethesda’s Starfield, your ship is essential to planetary expeditions, as well as your Boost Pack which helps you traverse the terrain once you arrive.
Unfortunately, you may stumble across pirate trouble when exploring the darkness of space, as enemy NPCs look to halt your progress and engage in dog fights, potentially resulting in damage to your ship.
If you’ve witnessed this firsthand and are wondering how you can nurse your ship back to full health, here’s how you can repair your ship in Starfield.
How to repair Starfield ship
To repair your ship in Starfield you can either: visit a Ship Services Technician in one of the game’s major cities and pay 1000 credits to get it repaired, or, if you have the Ship Parts needed, you can repair it while in combat by pressing the prompted button under your ship’s health on the HUD.
How to get Ship Parts in Starfield
To get Ship Parts in Starfield, visit a vendor in one of the major cities that has them for sale or earn them by plotting destroyed ships and as a reward for helping ships under attack. We recommend visiting the vendor in the UC Distribution Center in the commercial district of New Atlantis.
After purchasing the Ship Parts, place them in your ship’s cargo hold and you will be able to repair your ship while cruising around in space. If you run out of Ship Parts and need to repair your space transport, visit the Ship Services Technician when you land at one of the game’s major cities and pay 1000 credits.
The Ship Services Technician will repair your ship completely, meaning you won’t have to worry about your ship malfunctioning the next time you set off and find yourself in combat.
