Starfield performance boost

Nvidia finally gives Starfield players hope as the game should receive a performance boost after the latest 537.34 driver update. Starfield has received its fair share of backlash from the community regarding performance issues, so here’s how to boost performance after the update.

Although Starfield has been undeniably successful after launch, it has also received some criticism from many fans due to its performance issues on PC. With its considerably demanding system requirements, many have struggled to run the game smoothly on their computers.

However, Sean Pelletier from Nvidia has shared some good news, as the latest Game Ready Driver update is bringing the Resizable BAR for Starfield. This should increase the game’s performance on various systems with the RTX 30 or 40-series GPUs.

Here’s how to enable the Resizable BAR and boost your FPS in Starfield after the latest Nvidia driver update.

How to use Resizable BAR to boost Starfield performance on Nvidia GPUs

To boost your performance in Starfield using the Resizable BAR on Nvidia GPUs, simply install the driver and restart your system. This should force an OTA update that will successfully integrate the update into your PC. You can check if the update has been installed correctly by going to the following path:

“C:\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\NvProfileUpdaterPlugin”

Check the log files to see if an update has been recently installed. If this step has been accomplished correctly, you should be able to notice a boost in the game’s overall performance.

Keep in mind that this will only be applicable for Nvidia RTX 30 and 40-series GPUs. If you are an AMD user or have a lower-end Nvidia variant, use FSR or the DLSS mod to get better frame rates in the game. There is also a performance booster mod available on NexusMods if you want to use it for a GPU that is not an RTX 30 or 40-series one.
