Easter eggs have been part of gaming culture for ages, and new titles like Starfield are no strangers to pop-culture references. Now, a Starfield player has found a funny Star Wars reference while exploring a deserted planet.

Starfield keeps surprising every Bethesda RPG fan with its many hidden secrets, lovable characters, and funny moments. Even the bugs in the game are surprising, like this rogue AI starship that decided it was time to cause a ruckus with a major faction.

Now, a member of the Bigg Easter Egg community on YouTube has found a hilarious Easter egg that references a famous scene from Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Seems like Anakin didn’t have the high ground at all.

In the video, we can see a skeleton stranded in a rock, on a lava pit. The skeleton seems to be reaching out to an object on the ground, when you get near it, you notice it is a Digipick (Starfield version of lockpicks) that has the same shape as a lightsaber.

The player found this easter egg on planet Volt, in the Faraday System, near an autonomous Dogstar Factory. The resemblance between this Starfield Easter egg and the ROTS scene is uncanny.

Another player who also found this Easter egg commented: “That’s funny ’cause the same Easter egg is in oblivion I’m pretty sure.” This is indeed true, as you can see here. It seems that someone at Bethesda is a huge Star Wars fan.

There’s another funny Easter egg from Star Wars in Elder Scrolls V, Skyrim, inside Bleakcoast Cave, to the east of Winterhold. There, you can see a skeleton hanging upside down from the ceiling, representing the famous Hoth scene from The Empire Strikes Back.

It is uncertain how many easter Eggs are in Starfield, but we will keep an eye out for them. In the meantime, you can check out our guide on how to survey planets, so you can explore and earn credits faster, and we can also help you tune up your game with the best mods in Starfield.
