A Starfield player claims to have found the best method to farm XP the easy way, which will help you if you’re planning to rush through to your tenth NG+.

Doing almost anything in Starfield grants you experience, but it might take a while to level up if you’re not farming for XP. Completing any of the missions, whether it’s from the main plot or a sidequest, gives you experience. Starfield is a combat-heavy game, so defeating enemies also grants you XP. You can also join one of the many factions and complete their quests for XP.

However, Redditor ‘PatHasHat’ has shared a new XP farming technique to the Starfield subreddit. They believe that this is the easiest farming method they’ve found so far.

Starfield player discovers fastest way to farm XP

The XP farming trick in Starfield that ‘PatHasHat’ mentions simply involves the Astrophysics skill, which is under the Science category. The OP said they’ve maxed this skill but it’s “completely unnecessary to do so,” as they believe “Rank 2 suffices in most scenarios.” To unlock Rank 2 in Astrophysics in Starfield, you have to scan ten unique planets or moons.

This rank allows you to scan any planet or moon in your current system. You also get a 20% chance to discover a trait when scanning. The OP suggests “to literally jump systems, scan every planet in the system and jump again. Scanning a lvl 75 system with Well Rested + Tranquilitea can easily grant you ~1500xp for 40 seconds of effort.”

To get the Well-Rested bonus in Starfield, sleep in a bed for any amount of time. Meanwhile, Tranquilitea can be bought from many of the shops. The OP also added that “eventually you will run out of systems. But at that point you should be loaded and should you want to repeat this, there’s always Unity.”

One user commented that this is a great method if you want to rush to your tenth New Game Plus. According to them, “the opportunity to use it during those runs could net a lot of XP for not a huge amount of effort.” Another user added that this is the same method they had planned to get to their ninth NG+.

Your tenth NG+ run is when your Starborn suit’s stats will be maxed out, along with your powers. Meanwhile, you’ll get the best variant of the Starborn Guardian ship in your 6th NG+ run. Redditor ‘Windowlicker776’ added that they “just went to Serpentis and destroyed like a 100 ships.” This raised their level from 46 to 56, and is also a viable way to farm XP in Starfield.
