Starfield players baffled as dung pile needs to be lockpicked
BethesdaBethesda RPGs are synonymous with bugs and hilarious goofs. While Starfield is possibly their most polished game to date, it certainly isn’t free from those problems. Players are still finding bizarre things in the game, with the latest discovery being a dung pile that requires lockpicking.
Starfield is a game with unprecedented scope. The sci-fi RPG features a plethora of explorable planets, tons of side quests, customizable ships, and so much more. Players can go from exploring space stations to breaking new ground on uncharted planets within minutes. They can even set up outposts with painstaking detail thanks to Creation Engine’s object permanence capabilities.
However, all of this interactivity comes at a price, with the cost usually being bugs and glitches. Bethesda’s troubles with bugs are well-documented, with some players even considering them to be a part of their charm. While that might be true, seeing bugs pop up during gameplay segments remains puzzling.
This is especially true for cases such as the one Reddit user DemonicPluto came across. While exploring a planet, the player encountered one of Starfield‘s many dung piles. These usually offer up alien genetic samples along with minerals. However, this particular dung pile wasn’t so keen on sharing its goods as it required an Advanced lock to be cracked before being accessed.
Needless to say, the lock makes no sense and the entire thing can be chalked off as a hilarious bug. Users online saw the lighter side as well with one user commenting, “Those beasts take Constipation to a whole different level.” Another suggested a more practical approach saying, “One showel would resolve this issue.”
Unfortunately, that’s all we learned about this peculiar dung pile. The potential treasures it had locked away remain a mystery, and similar locked dung piles are extremely rare.
