Best Warzone Season 2 Landing Spots: Top loot rotations

Want to get the best loot possible in Verdansk? Here are the 5 best landing spots in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2.

Call of Duty Warzone players deploying

Like most battle royale games, your survival in Warzone is dependent on the loot you collect. There are many ideal landing spots that provide good loot in Season 2, and we’ve narrowed down our top five.

Warzone Season 2’s Verdansk map is filled with a variety of different locations ranging from train stations to hospitals. The second you are thrown into the world of this battle royale game, you can choose where to land.

Zombies have been overtaking Verdansk over the course of Season 2, and while you can get some extremely powerful tools by taking them out, we wouldn’t recommend landing in these zombie-infested zones.

We’re bringing you our top five landing spots for Warzone Season 2.

5. Train Station

This Train Station is located in the south-western part of the Warzone map. It’s a large area that consists of many railway lines and a huge terminal that splits across the entire location. As soon as you load into the deployment plane, this is a great place to land in search of loot.

We recommend that you land on the rooftops and gear up before making your way down to the lower section of the area. This is because you will find some valuable loot up there, such as a Legendary weapon or Killstreaks.

This place will have massive player traffic so you must be ready for a fight. Generally, the first players to get there and collect loot will have a better shot than the ones that arrive afterward.

4. Port

If you’re looking for an area with a plethora of areas to land in, Port is perfect for you. With cranes, CoD 4’s Vacant, and a large building in the center, even if several players are landing with you, you can find your own corner to land in.

Verdansk Port location in Warzone

We’d recommend landing on the roof of Vacant, to the east side of the Port. It’s full of loot, you’ll have the high ground, and you’ll largely be shielded from players lucky enough to find Sniper Rifles in the cranes. From the roof of Vacant, you can hop onto the overpass to navigate the area while maintaining the high ground.

Once you’ve got everything you need from Port, you can either head towards Downtown or Farmland, depending on the position of the circle.

3. Quarry – Refinery

An extremely important factor to bear in mind when landing is where you’re rotating to next. You want to get the best weapons, even a loadout if possible, before pushing the busiest area.

Verdansk Quarry in Warzone

The Refinery, the large building at the north-side of Quarry, is an excellent place to land. It has several floors worth of loot and plenty of buildings surrounding it if you don’t find everything you need in the main building. A Buy Station often spawns outside the Refinery, so you can buy a loadout and a UAV, then push into Quarry with everything you need to clear it out.

The only thing to be mindful of is getting held by players in the Rail Yard if the circle pulls away from you, but you can go up the hill to the north to safely wrap around Quarry.

2. TV Station

This isn’t one of the largest locations on the map, but it has a good position at the center of Vardansk and has enough small compounds surrounding it for some easy loot. If you’ve played the Broadcast map from Modern Warfare, then you’ll find the inside of the TV Station quite familiar.

Verdansk TV Station in

Many players will come here because of the amount of loot that you can find inside. This makes it one of the riskier locations to visit, but the surrounding open spaces allow you to grab one of the two vehicles and get out of there if things are getting heavy.

If there’s a helicopter on the roof, however, go straight inside the TV Station. Players will often land on this helicopter with the goal of squishing everyone looting up on the roof. After getting your loot from inside, there are a few Buy Stations in the surrounding areas that you can head for.

1. Stadium

Since Stadium opened up in Modern Warfare Season 5, it’s been a popular landing spot. It had plenty of loot boxes both inside and outside, and a possible three Buy Stations spawning there.

Verdansk Stadium in Warzone

There were locked rooms that you needed keycards and access codes to enter, which had a pile of Legendary chests bursting with top-tier loot. However, for Warzone Season 2, all of these rooms have been unlocked. We recommend parachuting through the windows on the upper floor to access the Legendary rooms.

If you successfully loot Stadium, you’ll be in the center of the map, stacked with cash, and have plenty of ways to rotate with helicopters often spawning in the pitch.

That covers the 5 best loot rotations in Call Of Duty: Warzone’s Verdansk. If you prefer the chaos of Alcatraz, we also have the best landing spots for Warzone’s Rebirth Island. Now go out there, get yourself some awesome gear, and bring home the win!

How to turn into a Zombie in Warzone Season 2’s Nuke Event

Find out how you can come back from the dead to become a killer Zombie in Warzone Season 2’s Nuke Event week.

cod warzone season 2 zombie

Warzone Season 2 is drawing to a close, and Activision has certainly spiced things up by allowing players to turn into a Zombie mid-game.

It’s official, destruction is on the way. The Zombie Containment Protocol has failed, with the situation reaching critical mass. As a result, Verdansk now has special areas that have become so contaminated with the Zombie presence that they can have severely adverse effects on players.

We imagine this will be for one week only to conclude the exciting twists and turns of Season 2, but for the time being, this is a full guide on how you can turn the tables on the enemy by becoming a Zombie during Warzone’s Nuke Event.

Where do you go to turn into a Zombie in Warzone?

The original Zombie invasion started when a large cargo ship docked on the shores of Verdansk. The Shipwreck POI was where it all began, and it seems we’re literally coming full-circle.

Shipwreck and Prison currently have two of the new infected Radiation Zones, which are also housing a new Stim Glitch. These Radiation Zones are the key to morphing you into one of the undead.

Here’s what you’ll need to do to become a Zombie in Warzone:

  1. Enter either a Duos, Trios, or Quads match – NOT a Solo game
  2. Land into one of the Radiation Zones
  3. You now need to die inside of the gas
  4. Once you’ve done that, your character will now deploy into Verdansk as a Zombie
  5. Go and get as many kills as you can!

Your controls and attacks are the same as what players received during the special Halloween Event of Warzone.

Players can use a Charged Jump, a Gas Grenade, and EMP Blast to inflict pain and punishment on any remaining players.

Be warned, even though you’ll become a Zombie, you’ll still only get one chance to be one, otherwise, it’s off to another lobby for you.

Whether you’re a fan of the Zombie invasion of Verdansk or not, it’s a bit of fun and is offering something a little bit different as we count down the days to the launch of Season 3.

Also, make sure you don’t miss out on Warzone’s Nuke Event, we have all the details here.

Best Sykov loadout for CoD: Warzone Season 2

The new Sykov full-auto Pistol became the Warzone meta overnight. Here are the best attachments and perks to dominate close-range fights.

Warzone akimbo sykov pistol

The Sykov Pistol, or Makarov, has finally been released in Warzone and Modern Warfare. Here are the meta attachments and perks to win all close-range engagements with this unique sidearm.

In a surprise update on April 15, the long-awaited Sykov Pistol was added to Modern Warfare and Warzone. Along with the Sykov came new Radiation Zones that turn players into Zombies.

Metas usually take a few days or even weeks to form, but the Sykov became the go-to weapon overnight. Even when the weapon could be unlocked early, a look at its attachments made it highly anticipated yet feared.

Here are the best attachments and perks to run with Warzone’s Sykov Pistol in Season 2, which will likely remain the meta in Season 3.

Best Warzone Sykov attachments

Best Warzone Sykov attachments
  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Sorokin 140mm Auto
  • Laser: 5mW Laser
  • Ammunition: 80 Round Drums
  • Perk: Akimbo

This Sykov is built to be unstoppable at close range, combining a rapid-fire rate, a ton of ammunition, and double the firepower.

To start, the Monolithic Suppressor will grant you extra range, meaning you don’t need to be directly in the enemy’s face to get the kill. And the 5mW Laser will give you much more hip-fire accuracy, although you will need to pull down on your mouse or analog stick slightly.

Now for the attachments that make the Sykov special. The Sorokin 140mm Auto barrel will make this pistol fully automatic, melting players’ armor off instantly. To double this firepower, you should turn the weapons Akimbo. And if these attachments aren’t enough, each Sykov can be fitted with an 80 Round Drum mag, allowing for 160 rounds of devasting damage.

Best perks to run with Warzone’s Sykov

Warzone overkill perk
  • Perk 1: E.O.D
  • Perk 2: Ghost
  • Perk 3: Amped

You’ll spend a lot of time in enemies’ faces while using the Sykov, which means you’re in prime range to get taken out by explosives. Running E.O.D will greatly reduce explosive damage, meaning you can run through a bombardment of explosives to secure the kill.

The Sykov Pistol is a secondary weapon, so you don’t need Overkill to combine it with a primary weapon. Ghost will hide you from the minimap and Heartbeat Sensors, which is invaluable in Warzone.

As you’ll only be using these pistols when fighting up close, you’ll need to run a weapon for medium-long range. Amped will allow you to rapidly change your weapons, getting the right gun out for any situation.

How to unlock the Sykov in Warzone & Modern Warfare

Sykov Pistol in Modern Warfare and Warzone

To unlock the Sykov Pistol in Modern Warfare and Warzone, you have to get 4 kills while using pistols in 5 different matches.

This is best completed in Hardcore mode of Modern Warfare’s multiplayer, but can also easily be completed in Plunder. Check out our full guide for some tips and tricks to complete this easier.

Best alternatives to the Sykov Pistol

The Sykov Pistol excels in close-range combat thanks to its full-auto mode, 80 Round Mags, and dual wield feature. If you’re looking for other weapons that dominate up close, the AS VAL melts players at close range. Also, if you’re looking for other pistols, the akimbo Diamattis will provide similar firepower.

It’s expected that the Sykov will dominate the close range meta going into Season 3, so this Pistol is well worth unlocking and ranking up.

If you’re looking to overhaul your Call of Duty: Warzone loadouts, you can check out our guides on some of the weapons dominating the meta right now.

Warzone players finding new Stim Glitch in Nuke Radiation Zones

The introduction of dangerous new Radiation Zones in CoD: Warzone has inadvertently led to a new version of the Stim Glitch.

cod warzone season 2 gas stim

Verdansk has become more dangerous thanks to deadly new Radiation Zones. But instead of them being fun, kooky additions, they’ve led to Call of Duty: Warzone being hit by a new form of Stim Glitch.

It’s at the point in Warzone where the mere thought of the dreaded “Stim Glitch” is enough to make most players shudder and become frustrated. The bug that practically makes players invincible is ironically plaguing the new Zombies twist on Warzone.

Instead of counting down the potential final days of Verdansk, players will now be eager for Season 3 to commence to prevent any further Stim Glitch controversy.

cod warzone radiation zone

First off, it has to be said that this incarnation of the Stim Glitch isn’t as damaging and as game-breaking as it was before.

Whereas the old version of the Stim Glitch essentially allowed layers to set up camp anywhere in the map and survive until they were the last player remaining, the new twist isn’t quite as effective.

Reddit user TwistedFate3 demonstrated how easy it was to avoid dying in the new gas as the new Radiation Zones deal far less damage than traditional gas.

They learned that if you have a Stim Shot equipped, then it can actually restock itself quicker than the time it takes for the Radiation Zone to kill you.

So at the moment, it’s entirely possible that players are utilizing this knowledge and pretty much have these areas to themselves to grab all the loot and goodies there.

However, the Stim simply won’t have the same effects when trying to use it if the proper gas crosses over into the new Radiation Zones. Meaning that this isn’t a way that will guarantee victories or anything like that.

It’s likely that this will be a one-week special gameplay difference that won’t carry over into Season 3, so we don’t expect this Stim Glitch variant to be changed. Given that Verdansk is expected to be blown up and bring other changes, this will just be a short detour.
