The Haunting event confirms no Cold War & Warzone Season 6 Reloaded
Warzone and Cold War Season 6 Reloaded looks set to be a no-go as the usual midseason break appears to have been removed in favor of The Haunting Halloween event.
After the beginning of a new Call of Duty season, players generally get a few weeks to soak up the new content before a midseason Reloaded update injects a tiny bit of new life into each game. But it seems like Cold War and Warzone Season 6 will not be getting the Reloaded treatment this time around.
The official roadmap and blog post concerning The Haunting event appears to have confirmed the plans regarding Cold War and Warzone Season 6 Reloaded.
No Cold War or Warzone Season 6 Reloaded event
Despite Black Ops Cold War Season 6 and Warzone Season 6 only launching on October 7, The Haunting event is set to begin a mere 12 days later on October 19.
This represents a quick turnaround between content drops, but there could be more to it than meets the eye.
In the official blog post regarding The Haunting event, it said: “Season Six gets “reloaded” less than two weeks after launch with The Haunting in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, the blockbuster Halloween event that will take over both games starting tomorrow, October 19, and will run through November 2.”
This would indicate that The Haunting is the closest thing to a Reloaded update fans will get in Season 6, and it will also serve as the final, major content drop for Black Ops Cold War.
This would make complete sense as the midway point for Warzone and Cold War Season 6 will pretty much coincide with the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Despite the fact that Cold War is set to be the most supported CoD title after the end of its yearly cycle, many players are going to switch over to Vanguard, so it makes sense to give as much attention to Cold War now as possible.
