Halo has a variety of great areas for players to battle in. We’ve listed the top 5 best multiplayer maps in the series.

Best Halo maps of all time

Halo has some of the most popular multiplayer modes of all time, with many different and unique maps for players to duke it out on. Some of these stand out more than others, and we’ve gone over the best Halo maps.

After a series of delays, we’ll see the official release of the highly-anticipated Halo Infinite during fall 2021, and fans are tremendously excited. Halo players have differing opinions regarding which games are the best, but they’re still eager about its release.

While the franchise also gets love for its story, gameplay, and characters, Halo’s multiplayer maps are some of the most iconic and popular ones in video game history. Many of them offer unique scenarios for competition, and some are more beloved than others.

This is why we’ve gone through every title in the franchise to decide our picks for the 5 best Halo multiplayer maps of all time.

The best Halo maps of all-time

The entire Halo franchise is filled with a wide selection of multiplayer maps that are suited for different types of combat, with many standouts like Warlock and Midship that have received wide acclaim.

We’ve put together this list by judging them based on a variety of factors like their overall popularity among fans, the versatility of combat, how iconic they’ve become in the series over the years, and our personal preferences.

5. Hang ‘Em High (Halo: CE)

This iconic Halo map is well remembered by many fans and often finds its way onto lists like this for good reason. If you want to battle your buddy in a 1v1 fight, then this is the perfect map to settle the score.

The area has a giant open space in its center, with a series of tunnels and walkways for you to make your way through during close combat situations. This makes the map perfect for playing with both small and large groups of players.

Hang ‘Em High’s versatility has made it commonplace for objective game types, especially Capture The Flag. This is because the towers in the area are difficult to reach, which makes them an ideal hiding spot for the flag.

4. Guardian (Halo 3)

Halo fans often engage in game modes like Oddball and Team Doubles on Guardian. This is because the map has consisted of multiple levels with a variety of different narrow and tight spaces in which you can battle your opponents.

As you make your way through the different hallways and levels, you’ll encounter enemies around every corner and will have to respond quickly. That’s a recipe for an intense and fast-paced match of Halo, in which you must constantly check your corners.

There is even a circular arena in the center of this map, and a few Gravity Lifts that you can use to get across the area quickly. Plus, you can get yourself out of an ambush by using any of the various escape routes that available.

Not to mention, you can find the Gravity Hammer and active camouflage when exploring Guardian, which adds incentive to play more competitively. That solidifies it as one of the best Halo multiplayer maps of all time.

3. Zanzibar (Halo 2)

Zanzibar is another iconic location that players fondly remember from Halo 2. You’ll find wide-open spaces, vehicles, and a giant spinning wheel in the middle that is visible from almost anywhere on the map.

This is one of the most interactive locations in the game as you can ride the aforementioned wheel and gain access to the Energy Sword and Rocket Launcher, which are two of the best Halo weapons. You can also press several buttons to alter the map’s environment.

You’ll find opportunities for intense mid-range combat due to the wide-open spaces and vehicles. Some players will spawn at the beaches and others will chase objectives during defend and attack game modes.

Halo 2: Anniversary introduced an improved version of this area which is called Stonetown, but most players still consider Zanzibar to be the superior location.

2. Blood Gulch (Halo: CE)

This entry isn’t surprising in the slightest, as you’ll find Blood Gulch in many other lists. It’s one of the most easily recognizable maps in entire the Halo series and is one that many fans would frequently visit.

The reason this map is so memorable is because of its simplicity and open spaces. While many other areas are filled with complex machinery, terrains, and tight corners, it’s refreshing to play in a location that doesn’t bother with that.

You can enjoy the simplistic but beautiful scenery while driving around the spacious grounds in your vehicle. The map’s overwhelming popularity even led to its recent inclusion in Fortnite Season 5 as a playable location.

Overall, this map makes up for its simplicity with its memorability, and it has definitely earned this spot on our list of the best Halo maps of all time. Hopefully, we’ll see it return in Halo Infinite.

Blood Gulch in Halo: Combat Evolved

1. Lockout (Halo 2)

The number 1 spot on this list goes to Lockout, which is one of the most revered maps among the Halo community at large, and for good reason. While this isn’t the largest area to compete in, it has the versatility and an added element of danger.

It’s easy to fall off the edge of the map if you’re not careful, and other players can also knock you off when you’re not looking. You can also take advantage of the location’s narrow corners to engage in close-quarters combat.

You should get your hands on the Energy Sword as soon as you can since it will help you absolutely dominate your enemies during close-quarters encounters, and you will find Swords-only Slayer to be ridiculously fun.

Lockout was remade in Halo 3 as Blackout, but it doesn’t hold a candle to its predecessor. Lockout is not only the best Halo map of all time, but it’s also one of the best competitive FPS multiplayer maps of all time.

Lockdown in Halo 2

That covers our picks for the best Halo multiplayer maps of all time. This series is filled with some truly amazing locations to battle on, with a few other close contenders like The Pit and Midship almost making this list.

Hopefully, you agreed with some of the maps we picked. Keep in mind that this was simply our opinion. If we’ve missed any map that you would put on your own list then be sure to let us know!

Destiny 2 has become a classic since its release in 2017, with a large player base in 2021. The Season of the Lost update has added various weapons like the Lorentz Drive exotic and Darkest Below.

You can also get different Exotic items each week by visiting the merchant, Xur. He hangs out in random locations around the map, and this guide will let you know where to find him along with his inventory.

Xur’s location in Destiny 2 changes each week, and he can be found in the Tower between September 17 and 21. The merchant will be standing near the back stairs of the Hangar.

Once you visit him, you can get yourself some neat new Exotic items to use in the game. Xur will provide you with items that are at the same power level as you.

Xur’s September 17 – 21 items in Destiny 2

This week’s collection of wares consists of impressive weapons, helmets, quests, and cosmetic items. You can equip these and reap their benefits when running into combat in Destiny 2.

Here’s a breakdown of every item that you can get from Xur the merchant this week in the game.

Merciless

This fusion rifle comes with the Exotic perk, Conserve Momentum, which lets it charge the fusion bursts faster for every non-lethal hit. This lets you kill bigger enemies much quicker.

Merciless was considered one of the best Exotic weapons in year 1 of the game. While there are better weapons in Destiny 2 to choose from, you can still have a ton of fun with this gun.

Shards of Galanor

This item comes with the Sharp Edges perk, which refunds Super energy based on the number of blades you hit with Blade Barrage. This will allow you to dish out more pain during Strikes and Crucibles.

One-Eyed Mask

This Titan helmet was considered to be one of the best Exotic items during Destiny 2: Forsaken, and it comes with the Vengeance Exotic perk. This will mark enemies that deal damage to you, letting you track them through walls.

Geomag Stabilizers

These Exotic boots were from Forsaken, and their Exotic perk is Close Enough. This recharges your Chaos Reach Super while sprinting if you have at least 90% energy. You can increase the duration by damaging enemies with Chaos Reach.

Exotic Cipher Quest

Xur also has a new quest for an Exotic Cipher this week. This lets you purchase old Exotics from the Monuments to Lost Light kiosk in the tower. You should do this Quest so that you can acquire Exotics like Heir Apparent and Truth.

FIFA 22 Ultimate Team is very nearly upon us, which means the newest batch of Ones to Watch cards won’t be too far behind. We’ve got all the confirmed players below, as well as our predictions.

Ultimate Team continues to be the most popular mode in the FIFA series, and the unique promotional cards added each year go a long way in keeping players engaged.

EA has already announced the addition of FUT Heroes in FIFA 22, and the return of Ones to Watch cards will have fans equally excited.

Now, just as the top 100 players have been unveiled, the publisher has also announced more Ones to Watch cards. We’ve got every confirmed card below, along with our predictions for the full line-up.

What are Ones to Watch cards?

FIFA 21 Ones to Watch team

Perhaps one of the biggest draws in Ultimate Team is how real, on-the-pitch action directly impacts the mode.

Ones to Watch cards are special items depicting players who have recently transferred to a new team. These players have dynamic ratings which get higher and higher to match their performances for club and country.

Each time that player is awarded a Team of the Week in-game, their overall rating will match it. For example, in FIFA 21, Ferran Torres was rated 81 but received an 84-rated in-form card. His Ones to Watch went up to the same rating and remained there for the rest of the year.

A new feature announced could also see these items get a special one-time upgrade. The ‘Wins to Watch’ mechanic means that if an OTW player’s team wins five out of ten competitive matches after October 1, they receive a rating boost of plus one.

FIFA 22 Ultimate Team confirmed Ones to Watch

EA announced that Ones to Watches would be returning once again in FIFA 22, but so far, they have only officially revealed a handful of players. Real Madrid’s David Alaba, who moved from Bayern Munich over the summer, was the first to be confirmed.

PSG, who have had a busy summer, also have three players involved in the promotion, including Lionel Messi following his dramatic transfer from Barcelona.

Many who have moved to the Premier League during the latest transfer window will be also be included. Among them is Cristiano Ronaldo, who is set to be one of the valuable Ones to Watch cards when they land in-game.

These are all of the players confirmed so far. We’ll update this hub with the full line-up and ratings when EA announces them.

EA is wasting no time in getting Ones to Watch cards into the game this year. In a recent website update, they revealed that the promotion will kick off on October 1, 2021, the same day as FIFA 22’s worldwide release.

The first team of Ones to Watch players will be in packs on launch day, while the second lot will follow on October 8, 2021.

The publisher also confirmed that there will be two smaller releases away from the two main lineups. These will take place between October 3 – 8 and October 10 – 13.

FIFA 22 editions preorder bonuses

The fact that OTW cards continue to upgrade and evolve throughout the year makes them extremely valuable in-game, especially the high-rated players. Luckily, there is a way to bag one without having to spend any coins.

Those who preorder the FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition will receive a free Ones to Watch player when the game is launched worldwide on October 1, 2021. This edition is priced at around £89.99 / $99.99.

EA originally listed that the preorder bonus was a player pick, where fans would be able to choose from a random selection of cards. However, they have since clarified that they will be issued as one random card.
