This Warzone feature would make stim & gas mask glitch exploits useless

A Warzone community member has proposed the addition of an interesting feature that would help stop stim & gas mask glitch exploiters.

Gitch exploits that allow players to survive in the gas without taking any damage have been problems faced by Call of Duty: Warzone players throughout the Call of Duty battle royale’s life, but one player recently proposed an interesting feature that could help combat these exploits.

Call of Duty: Warzone has skyrocketed to being one of the most popular video games globally following its release, and it has provided plenty of entertaining and exciting moments for players over the past year.

Unfortunately, as with many multiplayer games, various glitches and bugs have caused frustration among players, with some of the most frustrating being the stim & gas mask exploits that allow players to stay in the gas without having to worry about being eliminated from it, which for a battle royale is a major problem for players to have to face.

These exploits have popped up at different times in the life of Warzone, with the game’s developers having fixed them, but it seems that they will randomly appear out of nowhere following updates.

Warzone stim gas mask glitch exploit

The occurrence of these stim & gas mask exploits led one community member to propose an interesting feature that would stop the players using these glitch exploits from having a guaranteed win.

This proposed feature to combat stim & gas mask glitch exploits was brought to the official Warzone subreddit by community member Unsung_Squidy.

It entails utilizing a feature from the new Power Grab limited-time mode added to the game for the 80s Action Hero event at the start of Season 3 Reloaded.

This Power Grab game mode offers two ways that players can win at the end of a match. They can either eliminate all of the enemy players or achieve a successful exfil by helicopter. They must sit on a specific mark and wait until a meter fills up completely.

Unsung_Squidy proposed that Raven Software add this feature to the regular game modes of Warzone, with one change being that it appears in the middle of the very last circle that appears after the gas ring moves three times near the very end of a match.

This is the circle where the stim & gas mask glitch exploits shine, as they allow players to be as far away as possible from the final circle as it condenses and leaves no safe area for players to retreat to and keeps the enemy players from being able to have a chance of eliminating them.

This exfil chopper feature would force the stim & gas mask exploiters to come towards and inside of the last circle to stop the enemy team from winning via the exfil chopper.

It remains to be seen if Raven Software will add the exfil chopper feature from the Power Grab LTM to the very last circle of the standard Warzone game modes.

Still, it certainly would help remove one of the major advantages that exploiters of the stim & gas mask glitches get from abusing it when playing.

Warzone & Cold War Season 6 cinematic teases Mason’s return

Warzone and Black Ops Cold War have a new Season 5 outro cinematic hinting at Mason’s importance in the story for Season 6 of the Call of Duty games.

The latest cinematic for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 5 has been released, and players are excited about the reference towards Mason returning.

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone have had a successful season so far, keeping players entertained with the ongoing story, new weapons, and new modes like the Iron Trials for Warzone Season 5 Reloaded.

As we enter the final season for Black Ops Cold War before Vanguard‘s release, which will inevitably integrate with Warzone, players have been given a hint towards Mason’s return in a brand new cinematic.

Woods and Mason meeting in an alleyway to discuss Adler going Rogue

Treyarch released a new Season 5 outro cinematic on their YouTube channel on September 23, carrying on the ongoing story that has spanned the last five seasons.

For those still keeping up to date with the details, this outro cinematic plays a pivotal role in setting up the final season for Black Ops Cold War.

Black Ops Cold War will enter its final season soon, and players are desperate to find out who the last operator will be. It seems the last operator could be a fan-favorite character from the Black Ops series, Mason.

Although the cinematic is only a minute long, players can gain some critical information from it. Hudson and Woods are having a conversation about Adler’s disappearance, discussing what they should do next.

Ultimately, they decide that Woods should go after Adler, who is in Verdansk, while also mentioning the return of Mason, whose experience with the numbers could give them the edge.

You can find the official description of the new Warzone and Black Ops Cold War cinematic below:

“The news is flooding in: more Operators have abandoned their missions. Mounting evidence suggests that Adler has gone rogue. Disturbed, Hudson sends Woods to find Adler and bring him in… along with the one person whose Numbers Program intel could provide the edge they need.

The showdown begins in Season Six.”

We’ll have to wait for Season 6 to see where the story will go, but it’s set up to be an exciting end to what’s been a great seasonal story.

Warzone Specialist Bonus Token officially added to Iron Trials ’84

The rare Warzone Specialist Bonus Token has been added to Iron Trials ’84, but it can only be acquired in one specific way.

Warzone Specialist Bonus Token Iron Trials

Players can now acquire and use the power of the Warzone Specialist Bonus Token in the Iron Trials ’84 mode.

The Iron Trials ’84 mode has quickly become a fan-favorite. Not only because it rewards players who win with an exclusive banner but also because of its inherent difficulty.

In Warzone’s Iron Trials mode, players have more health, and there aren’t any free Loadout Drops. As well, players will have a hard time coming across any cash. Good luck scrounging up enough change to repurchase your teammates.

And now, Raven Software has added the fabled Warzone Specialist Bonus Token to the Iron Trials mode. However, it isn’t found like it is in the traditional Battle Royale mode. Instead of stumbling across it while looting, it has to be purchased from a Buy Station.

What is the Warzone Specialist Bonus Token?

The Warzone Specialist Bonus Token is so rare that you may not even know what it is. It is a token that, in the traditional battle royale mode, gives players every single perk. Yes, it is extremely overpowered, but it is also incredibly rare.

It was initially locked in the Nakatomi Plaza vault, but now it can be found anywhere in Verdansk. It’s located inside standard blue chests, legendary orange chests, and in Red Door rooms. But the drop rate for it is incredibly low so good luck finding the Warzone Specialist Bonus Token in the wild.

How to get Iron Trials Warzone Specialist Bonus Token

It might be even more challenging to get the Specialist Bonus in Iron Trials ’84. Even though players can purchase the Specialist Bonus from any Buy Station, it doesn’t come cheap.

The Specialist Bonus in Iron Trials costs $50,000. If you thought it was hard to buy back your teammate, then you probably won’t have much luck getting enough cash to purchase the bonus. And that’s exactly what the developers intended.

In the patch notes for the September 23 update, Raven Software stated, “We suspect very few people will be able to say they’ve purchased a Specialist Token. However, we do feel there is an opportunity to provide high tier Players with additional impactful outlets for their hard-earned resources.”

So, while it is possible to become an overpowered super soldier in Iron Trials, it likely won’t happen. You’re going to have to rack up a ton of kills, loot every floor in a skyscraper, and survive long enough to earn $50K and get the Warzone Specialist Bonus Token.

That being said, we’d love to see if you’re able to pull off the impossible. If you are able to cop the Iron Trials Warzone Specialist Bonus Token, share it with us on our Charlie INTEL Facebook Page and Charlie INTEL Twitter Page!

Major Warzone Gallo nerf goes live in September 23 update

Since the Gallo was dominating in Warzone Season 5, the developers have decided to nerf it in the latest September 23 update patch notes.

Warzone Gallo nerf

Warzone Season 5 Reloaded received a new update on September 23, which applied a nerf to the Gallo shotgun, a weapon players had been using a lot this season due to its strength up-close.

Warzone has enjoyed a lot of success recently, primarily due to the new Iron Trials mode, which players have enjoyed thoroughly, especially as the devs have teased its arrival in custom lobbies for the future.

The Season 5 Reloaded update saw the weapon meta shift again, bringing the Kilo back to the top of the ARs while the Gallo remained very strong for close-quarters combat.

Unfortunately for those who had been enjoying the meta dominated by this Black Ops Cold War Shotgun, the latest update has brought a Warzone Gallo nerf.

In the latest September 23 update, Raven Software decided to tweak the Iron Trials mode slightly and bring some buffs and nerfs to various weapons.

The weapons affected include the Bullfrog and the Gallo, which have been extremely strong this season. Let’s look at the Warzone Gallo nerf and how they have decided to change the weapon.

Warzone Gallo nerf

  • Maximum Damage Range decreased from 4.5 to 3.5 meters
  • Second Damage Range decreased from 8.1 to 5.5 meters
  • Third Damage Range decreased from 13.2 to 9.9 meters

In the developer notes for why they decided to push the Warzone Gallo nerf live, they stated that:

“The Shotgun Bravo (BOCW) has been incredibly dominant due to its Effective Damage Range, Magazine Capacity, Mobility, and Rate of Fire. By reducing its Effective Damage Ranges, the Shotgun Bravo (BOCW) will begin to feel more like a Shotgun and less like a Sniper.”

The Warzone Gallo nerf does seem pretty significant and targets the weapons’ damage range like the developer note states. The weapon will likely still be very powerful up-close, but it won’t be as versatile or reliable as an SMG.

We’ll have to see how far the Warzone Gallo nerf reduced the effectiveness of the Cold War Shotgun as players get to try it out now the update has gone live. For more Call of Duty: Warzone, check out how a banned Bullfrog blueprint is breaking the game’s audio.
