After delivering the return of round-based Zombies with Shi No Numa in Vanguard Season 4, Treyarch have confirmed that further round-based maps will come to the game in the future.

Vanguard Season 4 is set to bring a new update for the game, with fresh content for both Multiplayer and Zombies. While some are slightly dissatisfied with the Multiplayer content, Zombies fans have been waiting for a round-based experience on Vanguard for some time now.

Luckily, Season 4 will deliver exactly that with Shi No Numa, and Treyarch have even confirmed that more round-based Zombies maps are coming in the future.

In the Call of Duty blog about Shi No Numa, popular Zombies community member, and content creator MrDalekJD noticed some interesting wording regarding the arrival of round-based Zombies for Vanguard.

In the blog, it says “Deploy to the Swamp of Death in Shi No Numa, the first classic, round-based Zombies experience in Vanguard.” MrDalekJD picked up on the choice of words, as Shi No Numa is referred to as “the first classic, round-based Zombies experience in Vanguard.”

This suggests that there will be more, and after highlighting this, Treyarch’s dedicated community Twitter account responded with the side eyes emoji, confirming that we will indeed be seeing more round-based Zombies for Vanguard in the future.

The devs stated they had big plans for Zombies, and this confirms that another round-based Zombies experience is coming to Vanguard, which brings rise to the question of which map will we see.

There are many fan-favorite Zombies maps that we could see, but perhaps Shi No Numa’s return is a hint that we could see more World at War Zombies maps.

Of course, nothing is confirmed as of yet, and when we have more details on the map and release date we’ll be sure to update you.
