Treyarch confirms the return of a popular Zombies Perk in Black Ops Cold War

A Tweet from Treyarch seems to have confirmed the incoming arrival of a classic CoD Zombies Perk that we can expect to see sometime soon. It will enhance and improve the ever-popular Die Maschine game mode.

After rumors circulated a few weeks ago about new Zombies content, it appears that Black Ops Cold War’s Zombies mode could indeed be getting the much-speculated additions.

It wasn’t that long ago that some leaked files appeared to reveal some new perks making their way to the newest Call of Duty game and it does appear that one of them has all but been confirmed by the developers themselves.

Treyarch confirms BOCW Zombies perk

In celebration of the end of a calamitous year in human history, Treyarch is already trying to help usher in a new era and hopefully a better 12 months ahead with an uplifting Tweet.

But along with some powerful words, a powerful image also accompanies the message. The image is a familiar one, albeit slightly higher-res than remembered.

The can in the picture shows an old-school Zombies Perk and this image would suggest it’s heading to Black Ops Cold War.

For those of you who are not familiar with the nature of “Tombstone“, it was a Perk first introduced in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. It functioned by allowing the player to drop a Tombstone when they were downed, the player would then have to try and retrieve the Tombstone in a certain amount of time upon their resurrection.

If things worked out correctly, then the player would lose the Tombstone perk, but regain all of their weapons and other perks. It’s an incredibly useful way of maintaining a game and saving a lot of time rebuying items in the process.

This Tweet seems to all-but confirm its reappearance in Black Ops Cold War, once we gain word of when it will officially appear then we’ll update you.
