Treyarch hints that Cold War’s Zombies Outbreak is getting new map

Treyarch has dropped teasers for additional content coming to CoD: Cold War’s Zombies Outbreak mode very soon.

The popular open-world Outbreak mode added in Season 2 of CoD: Black Ops Cold War is about to expand. Treyarch hinted at this recently with a Tweet suggesting a new map is coming to the Zombies variation.

Outbreak has been a breath of fresh air since it debuted in Season 2 of Black Ops Cold War. Zombies wasn’t exactly growing stale, but Outbreak is so different that you do wonder how we ever did without it.

The inventive game mode takes all the core elements that everyone loves about slaying the undead such as overpowered weapons, horrible new enemies, and even wacky glitches.

Its maps are quite literally pulled from Cold War’s other new mode this year – Fireteam. To show their support for Outbreak, it seems like Treyarch could be about to add another map to keep players entertained.

Outbreak already has Alpine, Golova, and Ruka as maps to keep the game rotating through. It now seems like one of CoD: Cold War’s already existing maps is about to be added to the mix.

Sanatorium was added as a new Fireteam map in the Season 1, mid-season update. Based on evidence seen in the Treyarch Tweet, it appears that Zombies are now destined to invade this area too.

Even though the Tweet is only a short GIF, one user was able to identify a key building seen during the mystical, swirling vortex.

Nanikos said, “For your information, this is Sanatorium. It’s not a new map.”

It certainly appears to be a match, and it does indeed look like Sanatorium will be on its way to the game as early as next week.

The mid-season update for Season 2 has nearly arrived in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone and Sanatorium could be a major part of those plans.

We expect this to be confirmed as part of the official mid-season roadmap.

Cold War Zombies players furious as update deletes camo progress

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies camo is being affected after a recent update has reset camo progress for many players.

The newest Black Ops Cold War game settings update has ruined Zombies camo progress for many by resetting their accomplishments and stats.

Completing and unlocking camos is a big deal for many Call of Duty players, as the thrill of seeing hard work pay off is a huge buzz.

Whether it’s Diamond, Damascus, or Dark Matter, being able to equip these cool camos with your favorite guns is a great visual. Treyarch made it so that players could also unlock camos through specific Zombies challenges so that they didn’t feel forced to play multiplayer.

However, one of Black Ops Cold War’s “Game Settings update” improvements has inadvertently deleted Zombie camo unlock progress for many.

dark aether unlock requirements

Posted in the official Call of Duty Zombies subreddit, a video from user noeltorious brought attention to the changes made by the latest game settings update.

The player showed off two different versions of their Marshal Shotgun, one with a standard look, and one that had the Dark Aether camo.

In one loadout, they hovered over all the hardest-to-unlock camos, and they were all locked, despite the challenges underneath showing that the requirement had been fulfilled.

The player then went to a loadout where the Marshal actually had the Dark Aether camo equipped, but despite the camo being applied to the weapon, it still showed up as locked.

One frustrated player stated that: “Nah nah, if this happens I’m going to be so f*cking pissed, all my hard work, so close to Dark Aether, I’m never touching cod again.”

This seems like a pretty big change and glitch in the system that is affecting a lot of Cold War players. We would imagine it’s something that Treyarch will be looking at as soon as they can.

Cold War players frustrated with Judge Dredd Lawgiver bug

Call of Duty’s newest big-name bundle is the Judge Dredd offering, but the cosmetics come with one big flaw that has annoyed buyers.

Published

on

The Judge Dredd bundle is in Black Ops Cold War, but it has a glaring oversight when it comes to the Lawgiver skin as it doesn’t provide full coverage to dual-wield loadouts.

Novelty bundles are always welcome in big games: Fortnite, in particular, being the master of incorporating mainstream names and stars into a crazy, fictional world.

Call of Duty is no slouch in this department either though, as it has been able to provide its players the opportunity to become Rambo and John McClane. Not content with letting this be the only high-profile skin in recent memory, Call of Duty gamers can now become Judge Dredd.

A legend in comic books, the character can now be used to score dubs, but players are disappointed that dual-wield weapons only get one of the guns covered in the Lawgiver skin.

Two separate posts on Reddit have drawn attention to this Judge Dredd bundle bug, and they’ve garnered nearly 1.5K upvotes between them.

The main post titled “This is bothering me more than it should, the Dual Wield attachment isn’t applying the Lawgiver blueprint to both pistols,” shows the AMP63 in its dual-wield form.

For some reason, the main gun (the right one) has the Lawgiver Blueprint equipped, whereas the left one doesn’t.

In the second Reddit post, “Akimbo AMP63 “Lawgiver” bug,” we see the exact same problem, a player with two AMP63s in their loadout, but only one has the paid Blueprint on display, and this applies to both Cold War and Warzone.

“You have to buy it twice, obviously,” one user jokingly suggested, whereas someone else came up with an inventive thought: “Tbh this would be rather cool, imagine having the ability to use 2 different blueprints for dual-wielded weapons at the same time.

“Obviously not with different attachments but different cosmetics, i.e Dark matter in one hand and dark aether in the other.”

Given that this Blueprint comes with a paid bundle, it’s easy to see why some Cold War players would be frustrated about the lack of full coverage for their weapons. Given the public anger towards this bug, Treyarch may very well look into this.
