Treyarch reveals 2 new Warzone Gulags for Black Ops Cold War Season 1

Black Ops Cold War Warzone Season 1 brings two new gulag experiences to players across Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

Black Ops Cold War’s Season 1 for Warzone will introduce its own spin to the Gulag system.

Warzone Season 1 drops December 15 at 11 PM PT and introduces lots of great changes across Verdansk while introducing a brand new map, “Rebirth Island.”

The most interesting of the changes coming to Warzone is two brand new Gulag arenas for players to fight for their spot back in the battle royale. Verdansk’s Gulag showers will be replaced with the new update, bringing us a Black Ops Cold War-themed Gulag.

New Verdansk Gulag

Verdansk’s Gulag showers have been replaced with a new Black Ops Cold War-themed arena, based on the layout of Nuketown. It’s designed as a makeshift replica of the original map, with the buildings and backyards blocked off.

Players will fight in the middle street area, using the parked bus or faux truck as cover while maneuvering the battlefield. Daring players will hop onto the top awning of the Nuketown houses as a nice vantage point to pick off unsuspecting opponents.

It’s never felt more tense and familiar in Verdansk’s Gulag. Just be sure to look out for the onslaught of rocks being thrown by the spectators.

Rebirth Island Gulag

Rebirth Island gets its own unique Gulag. Below the island’s ground lies a classified location used by Perseus to experiment on inmates in his plan to turn the tide of the Cold War.

The Gulag itself is an enclosed chamber, where players will spawn at the end of a hallway that run towards a center room. There’s also metal detectors located on both sides of the room when operators enter, adding another threat to your rush strategy.

Both of these Warzone Gulags will be available at launch with the first Season of Black Ops Cold War. Warzone will receive UI changes, brand new weapons, maps, and modes. You can read about all of the upcoming changes here.

Cold War’s Dark Aether camos & Gunsmith Customs coming soon to Warzone

Players looking to use their Dark Aether camos in Warzone are in luck, as support is coming.

Dark Aether in Black Ops Cold War

Raven Software has confirmed that Black Ops Cold War’s Dark Aether camos and Gunsmith Customs will be making their way to Call of Duty: Warzone.

For Black Ops Cold War Zombies players, the Dark Aether camo is a true mark of skill and perseverance, with players tasked with unlocking every skin for every weapon, in every class.

After going through all that effort, it’s no surprise that players wanted to be able to rock their Dark Aether camos in Warzone, something that so far has been impossible.

However, the studio’s creative director Amos Hodge has confirmed that the team is hard at work on bringing support for Dark Aether camos to Call of Duty: Warzone.

Treyarch first promised that support for these camos would arrive back in their Season 1 announcement blog post, but information on introduction has been minimal every since.

Raven has finally confirmed they plan to bring official support for Dark Aether camos to Warzone, but admitted that the studio would need more time to make it happen.

Hodge explained that there is “a lot of work” still to be done in bringing Cold War’s Zombies camos to Warzone weapons because of the differences in how some weapons look and feel once those camos are applied.

Raven also has confirmed they want to bring support to create and use Black Ops Cold War Gunsmith Customs weapons into Call of Duty: Warzone. Currently, Warzone only supports the feature with Modern Warfare weapons.

Hodge stated that the team “will get there” with these features but more time is needed to ensure they’re brought to life.

Unfortunately, Hodge didn’t provide a release date or a timeline for these features, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as the information becomes available.

Unlock Fara 83 Warzone Black Ops Cold War Season 3

Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 3 has hit the ground running with new content and weapon changes, including some improvements for the FARA 83 Assault Rifle. Our quick guide will show you how to unlock it.

The launch of a new season in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone is always an exciting prospect with major changes allowing new weapons to become the dominating meta. Season 3 is no different as the latest update for the franchise introduces some tweaks to the Fara 83 assault rifle to shake things up for those who unlock it or already have it unlocked.

These positive changes include a smoothed-out recoil pattern, a 17% increase to the gun’s maximum damage range, and a minimum damage increase from 25 to 26.

The changes above, combined with the high rate of fire and a nasty punch of the Fara 83, will certainly make it a valuable unlock for players during Season 3.

How to Unlock the FARA 83 in Warzone & Cold War Season 3

Previously, the Fara 83 assault rifle could only be unlocked by reaching tier 15 of last season’s Battle Pass. Unfortunately, this meant players who did not reach tier 15 would not have gotten a chance to add this weapon to their inventory.

Fortunately, Treyarch has added an array of new unlock challenges for weapons in the Zombies mode of Black Ops Cold War, including the Fara 83 assault rifle.

For you to unlock the FARA 83 in Zombies, you’ll need to kill 30 or more enemies consecutively without getting hit 25 times. Once you have accomplished this task, you will be rewarded with this powerful assault rifle that you can use in Warzone, Multiplayer, and Zombies.

Treyarch and Activision have usually tried to avoid pay-to-win situations and always make new weapons available for all players so that none are locked out and creating an unfair advantage.

This includes making older Battle Pass weapons available through challenges for players who did not play during that period of time.

There is no doubt that players will be satisfied with their choice if they take the time to unlock the Fara 83 during Season 3 of Black Ops Cold War and Warzone and use it to take down their enemies.
