How to unlock Hammer and Sickle in Warzone & Cold War Season 6
If you’re into melee weapons, Season 6 is adding the dual-wielded Hammer and Sickle weapon later in the season. Here’s how to unlock the Hammer and Sickle in Warzone and Cold War.
Melee weapons are fun to use, even if they aren’t the most effective. Sure, you can play it safe and shoot your opponents from a distance. But there’s something very enjoyable about running up to your enemy and hitting them with a sledgehammer.
Luckily, the Call of Duty developers often add new melee weapons to the game. The most recent of which was the Sai during The Numbers event in Warzone and Cold War.
Now, Warzone and Cold War Season 6 introduces a couple of new melee weapons. The first is the new two-handed Battle Axe which can be obtained at the start of the season. The second is a dual-wielded Hammer and Sickle.
How to unlock Hammer and Sickle in Warzone and Cold War
While the Battle Axe and several other new weapons can be unlocked at the start of Season 6, players will have to wait a bit for the Hammer and Sickle. According to Activision, you can unlock the Hammer and Sick in Warzone and Cold War Season 6 following The Haunting event.
The Haunting event starts on October 19, but that’s all we know about the event so far. A new Call of Duty blog containing more details for The Haunting will be published on October 18.
“Following The Haunting, prepare to crush your enemies with the might of a Hammer and Sickle. Earn this dual-wield weapon in Black Ops Cold War or Warzone either through a melee-based challenge or within a new Store Bundle, both to arrive later in Season Six,” stated the Call of Duty Blog.
This means there are two ways players can unlock the Hammer and Sickle in Season 6. They can either purchase a bundle that will likely include a unique weapon blueprint. Or they can unlock the weapon for free via a melee-based challenge.
We will update this piece with the details for the challenge that will unlock the Hammer and Sickle in Warzone and Cold war and the store bundle that will contain a weapon blueprint for this melee weapon when they are officially revealed.
