In the latest GameInformer podcast episode, Treyarch’s Vonderhaar was asked a question about the potential of custom games in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode.

Many fans have been asking about the possibility of being able to play with their friends only in Blackout, without having to play in a full match to explore the map and more. In response, Vahn stated that he “hopes” to be able to get it done. The studio has a ‘vision’ for having custom games in Blackout, and a lot of work is going on to make custom game settings ready for the possibility.

Vahn stopped short of confirming it, saying it’s possible but does not want to give a final answer as the team at Treyarch continues to work towards making progress on the feature for the mode.
