The arrival of Episode 9 of Valorant has the community on edge regarding any new additions or changes the devs might make in the 9.00 update.

Although the devs initially announced that they don’t want to change the Agent meta significantly, they have already confirmed certain adjustments that will decrease the popularity of one Duelist.

Here are the early patch notes for the 9.00 Valorant update.

Release details

The 9.00 update arrived in Valorant on June 25 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM BST. The devs also announced that starting from Episode 9 Act 1, all new content such as Agents, Maps, Acts, and more will be introduced to the game on Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays.

Abyss arrives at competitive map pool

As confirmed in the previous update, the new map Abyss will enter the competitive map pool in the 9.00 update. This allows players to jump into the new map in Valorant’s ranked mode.
