Valorant Episode 7 Act 3: All changes in patch 7.09
Here are all the major changes that come with patch 7.09 in Valorant, which went live with Episode 7 Act 3:
Judge nerf
- Reduced max mag size from 7 to 5
- Increased Jumping spread from 1.25 to 2.2
- Increased Running spread from .10 to .75
Impact on gameplay with the above changes:
- Two shots less before reloading. Less accurate while moving and jumping.
- Great mobility Agents like Raze, Jett, and Neon can no longer inflict lethal damage while moving or in the air.
Cypher buff in Valorant
- Trapwire: Decreased the time until the trap concusses a captured enemy from 3 to 1.5 seconds.
- After concussing an enemy or an enemy in the trap being killed, the Trapwire no longer destroys itself but re-arms after 0.5 seconds, allowing it to ensnare another enemy.
- Duration of tag slow when hit by the trap increased from 0.75 to 2 seconds.
Impact on gameplay with the above changes:
- Trapwire will now concuss enemies twice as fast for a longer period and reset back to the same position unless broken by shooting or an ability.
- The repositioning of Trapwire is a huge buff for Cypher, allowing the Agent to maintain strong control over an area and trap multiple enemies.
Cypher also received a major buff following the changes made to Fade and Skye’s abilities, listed below.
Fade changes
- Adjusted Prowler collision so that they go over Trapwires placed at foot height and under Trapwires placed at head height. This won’t affect the hitboxes for weapon damage.
Skye changes
- Adjusted Trailblazer’s collision so that it goes under Trapwires placed at mid-height. This won’t affect the hitboxes for weapon damage
Raze nerfs in Valorant
- Paint Shells (E)
- Primary grenade explosion radius decreased from 6m to 5.5m.
- Secondary grenades explosion radius decreased from 6m to 5.25m.
- Primary grenade explosion minimum damage lowered from 15 to 1.
- Secondary grenades explosion minimum damage lowered from 15 to 1.
- Damage multiplier to enemy utility from decreased 250% to 100%.
- Blast Pack (Q)
- Satchel doesn’t deal damage until fully armed.
- Satchel arm time increased from 0.5 seconds to 1.5.
Impact on gameplay with the above changes:
- Raze players will have to be more precise with their Paint Shells grenade to finish off their enemies as well as abilities like Killjoy’s Lockdown.
- Satchel works the same way as ever for Raze but deals damage only after 1.5 seconds of throwing. Once the Satchel starts beeping, you’ll know it’s ready to deal damage.
