Call of Duty: Vanguard has an enormous array of attachments and customization options, and one of them allows you to bring back Modern Warfare 2’s Commando Pro Perk through the use of the bayonet, only, it’s much worse.
Seasoned Modern Warfare veterans will all remember Commando Pro as the overpowered, beastly Perk from Modern Warfare 2 that allowed players to melee opponents from an insane distance.
Combined with a high-mobility SMG, and you could become a bonafide ninja in the game by running around and pouncing on enemies from a distance.
Fast-forward to 2021 and it seems like Call of Duty: Vanguard’s multiplayer has something even worse as Commando Pro seems to be back, with an even longer-range weapon – the Bayonet.
Vanguard has had several changes since the Beta, and Sledgehammer Games really seemed to have tried to improve all areas of the experience.

But, some things will slip through into the final release without data and rigorous testing, and it appears like Vanguard has a Bayonet loadout with obscene range.
Reddit user CanadianTim shared a video of them using Vanguard’s Bayonet in conjunction with the Reach Kit attachment that improves melee range.
The footage showed our player lunging from a solid couple of meters or more away from the enemy player and plunging the Bayonet into them for an instant one-hit kill.
One amusing comment said: “Holy cr*p it’s like a Halo energy sword,” and another player also suggested that the combination will inevitably be fixed in the future: “Things that’ll be patched quickly.”
We would hazard a guess that this Bayonet loadout is probably a bit more effective than Sledgehammer Games intended, so don’t be surprised if it gets nerfed pretty quickly.
