Vanguard matches are being completely ruined by a ‘clicking’ glitch that’s making the game unplayable. Aware of the issue, devs Sledgehammer Games have now responded.

Vanguard’s Season 2 Reloaded update is here, bringing the new Armaguerra 43 SMG, the Arms Race mode, and even more Ranked Play rewards to earn. However, players have been suffering from a bizarre new glitch that’s completely breaking the game.

The ‘clicking’ glitch brings a host of issues, making the game basically impossible to play. The good news is that Sledgehammer Games are aware, and have responded to the issue.

Thomas ‘ZooMaa’ Paparatto, a former CoD pro and co-host of The Flank, has been suffering from this glitch. In this clip from a Ranked Play stream on March 24, we can see that the ‘clicking’ glitch tanks his FPS, completely removes the HUD, and gets rid of the dot on his Automaton’s Slate Reflector.

Without being able to see vital information, ZooMaa is forced to run around the map helplessly, shooting at his own teammates as he can’t tell friend from foe. This happened several times since the Season 2 Reloaded update, and it appears ZooMaa isn’t alone.

Sledgehammer Games have now responded to the issue, marking it on their Trello board of known bugs and issues as under investigation. They originally had a card for “Matches on Tuscan will sometimes crash or have impacted performance,” but on March 24, they updated it to read: “Degraded performance and ‘clicking’ noise at the start of some matches.”

This is the same glitch ZooMaa experienced, where he could hear a constant clicking noise that sounded like crickets while the game was broken.

There’s no update on when we can expect a fix, but with how impactful it is on the game, we’d expect it to be a high priority.
