Vanguard February 3 update

Sledgehammer Games have been rolling out consistent updates leading up to Season 2 and the February 3 update provides a nerf to the Welgun, bundle fixes, and Launcher challenge changes in Call of Duty Vanguard.

Slowly but surely, Sledgehammer are tackling the ongoing issues plaguing Vanguard at the moment. The devs have been providing frequent updates that clear up minor issues and the latest one hit the game on February 3.

Here is every change made in Vanguard’s February 3 update which nerfed the Welgun, made Launcher challenges easier, and fixed bundles available in the Store.

Welgun SMG attachments nerfed

Welgun nerf Vanguard SMG

The Welgun was added to the Vanguard weapon pool via the mid-Season 1 update. It quickly became a fan-favorite in Warzone and Vanguard due to its rapid TTK.

Vanguard players may have to find another dominant SMG as this update on February 3 has nerfed the Welgun by fixing a bug that affected two attachments which caused it to overperform.

At this moment there has been no mention of which attachments are referenced but we will update this section if that information becomes available.

Vanguard Panzerfaust camo challenge tracking

After numerous complaints concerning the difficulty of completing Launcher camo challenges in Vanguard, it seems this update has simplified the process slightly.

Those grinding for the coveted Atomic camo cannot escape the Launcher category. Thankfully, the Panzerfaust is now more effective against Spy Plans and Counter Spy Planes. In addition, splash damage kills will now track toward longshot kills for the weapon.

If you’ve been putting off completing the Launcher camo grind, now is the perfect time to give it a go.
