Trophy System Vanguard Season 3

Sledgehammer Games have fixed several issues in the May 10 update, including allowing Operators to mantle silently and issuing a buff to Magazine attachments. Here are Vanguard’s full May 10 patch notes.

Vanguard Season 3 introduced players to two new weapons, the highly requested Trophy System Field Upgrade, and a brand-new map. The devs are not done with implemented tweaks to improve gameplay and the latest update on May 10 will provide additional fixes.

With this new update, Sledgehammer has made it so all Operators are silent while mantling and landing. In addition, they also buffed low-caliber Magazine attachments across all weapons.

Vanguard Magazine attachment buffs

Vanguard Magazine

According to the devs, low-caliber Magazine attachments were failing to perform adequately across Vanguard’s multiplayer. These types of mags simply could not keep up with their high-caliber counterparts and the devs buffed them as a result.

The May 10 update specifically increases the firepower of these low-caliber Magazines. They already boast excellent maneuverability and should be quite powerful with the added damage.

To balance out this major buff, several of the weapons below had their damage range penalties increased, making them less effective at range.

Vanguard May 10 update patch notes

Multiplayer

  • All Operators are now silent while mantling, landing, and performing other movements.

  • The Season 3 Top 250 Skill Division and Ladder are now live.

Magazine Attachments with a low-caliber have struggled to perform on par with their high-caliber counterparts. Today’s update increases the firepower of low-caliber Magazines so that players can equip these Attachments for the handling benefits while maintaining similar bullets-to-kill. Damage values are crafted to be most effective with shots to the head and torso. Decreases in range will favor close-range gunfights.
