Vanguard players desperate for “annoying” server bug to be fixed
Many Vanguard players are experiencing a mysterious “Server Snapshot error” bug in the middle of matches and are desperate for Sledgehammer Games to fix this.
One of the worst feelings when playing online Multiplayer is putting time and effort into a game, it ends up becoming a great game that will prove to be very profitable in terms of XP, and you’re kicked out mid-match and lose everything.
This is the exact set of circumstances happening to tons of Vanguard players as they are being booted out to the main menu thanks to the “Server Snapshot error” bug.
One of the most troubling aspects of the Server Snapshot error bug is that no one knows why it’s happening or how to fix it.
Now, Vanguard player Niarbrebyc has really brought the issue to the fore and shown a clear example of why the bug is causing problems.
In the middle of an intense match on the popular Das Haus map, the player was mid-fight with another player, and then they were abruptly kicked to the Vanguard Multiplayer menu.
The screen was filled with a “NOTICE – Server Snapshot error” message as the bug had struck once again. The video continued with two further examples of it happening, and justified the post’s original message: “This bug: “Server snapshot error” is getting annoying AF.”
With the possibility of this bug kicking players out of games, it will start to weigh on players’ minds that they can’t fully commit to a match with the risk of the Server Snapshot error prematurely bringing the match to an end for them.
A lot of the comments replying to the post all seemed to be in agreement that this bug might be happening as a result of an anti-cheat measure.
“It’s related to anti-cheat. The reason I say that is most people say they get this when they were having a great game,” one commenter theorized.
Another player also shared their experience with it: “I was absolutely slaying on Shipment, 180+ eliminations, had dogs 3 times and about 8 mortar barrages, was looking forward to some mad Operator XP. Server Snapshot error had other ideas.”
Given the frequency of the bug and how widespread it seems to be, Sledgehammer Games might feel they need to find a solution to not risk losing players over it.
