CoD Vanguard players are calling for the developers to make some major changes to one “pay-to-win” Double Barrel Shotgun Blueprint that’s giving users an unfair advantage in combat.

Call of Duty: Vanguard features almost 40 weapons for you to choose from. There have also been weapon Blueprints that provide players with a “pay-to-win” buff, giving them an unfair advantage.

While the devs have been working to fix these, certain Blueprints continue to break the game’s rules. Now, players are criticizing one bundle in the store that lets you get around Vanguard’s restrictions.

The Double Barrel Shotgun is a powerful weapon in CoD: Vanguard. If you choose to dual-wield this gun then you’ll encounter a major tradeoff: the underbarrel attachment will be disabled.

This was implemented by Sledgehammer Games to keep things fair in the game. However, CoD Vanguard’s Scavenger Hunt bundle is letting players get past this restriction and equip an underbarrel.

This bundle contains the Wild Marble Shotgun Blueprint which features the Akimbo Perk along with an SMLE Pistol Grip Underbarrel. So, players with access to this bundle can exclusively use this Double Barrel build.

Reddit user ‘M4GIX’ brought this up in the CoD: Vanguard subreddit, criticizing the “pay-to-win” bundle. “If you wanted to build this gun without the Blueprint, you wouldn’t be able to,”

Being able to dual-wield this weapon makes it overpowered. Many of the commenters slammed the developers for this rule-breaking bundle. “I think it’s incompetence more than malice,” wrote one user.

There have also been previous instances of “pay-to-win” blueprints in CoD: Vanguard, such as the STG44’s Debt Collector variant. These have been heavily criticized by players as they make the game unbalanced.

At the time of writing, the developers have yet to respond to the issue with CoD: Vanguard’s Wild Marble Shotgun Blueprint. If they implement a fix for this problem, we’ll be sure to update you.
