Vanguard SMG is fastest Warzone gun ever after Season 4 buffs
Speed is an invaluable tool in Warzone gunfights that can give you a competitive edge if used properly. Here’s how to build the fastest SMG loadout in Warzone following Season 4 buffs.
There’s a lot to dissect following the Warzone Season 4 update, including the brand-new Fortune’s Keep map and several new features like the Black Market Supply Run. With a ton of new information to absorb it’s easy to forget that Season 4 also brought along many weapon buffs and nerfs to balance the game.
Of these buffs and nerfs, a Warzone expert has honed in on a Vanguard SMG that they claim is now the “fastest gun to ever come to Warzone.”
Warzone expert Isaac ‘IceManIsaac’ Hamilton excels at breaking down which top weapons to utilize following a major update. Their latest discovery sheds light on the Sten SMG that has played second fiddle to Vanguard post-launch SMGs up until now.
However, IceManIsaac believes that its stock is about to rise in Season 4 thanks to the incredible max movement speed it could reach when using the right attachments.
IceManIsaac Warzone Sten loadout
- Muzzle: Recoil Booster
- Barrel: SA 65mm Rapid
- Optic: SA 32S
- Stock: Gawain Para
- Underbarrel: Mark VI Skeletal
- Magazine: 7.62 Gorenko 36 Round Mags
- Ammo Type: Hollow Point
- Rear Grip: Taped Grip
- Proficiency: Acrobatic
- Kit: Quick
The Sten had its minimum and maximum damage increased in the Season 4 update, but it’s the changes to attachments that make this fast loadout possible.
The Taped Grip now adds a ton of movement speed to weapons and when you combine this with the movement speed that the Gawain Para provides, the Sten becomes lightning quick. Keep in mind that we could see the devs dial back the movement speed boost for the Taped Grip, as some believe it was buffed by accident.
IceManIsaac compares the Sten to some of Warzone’s fastest guns from the past, “I’m talking faster than the OTs days, the Cold War MP5 days, faster than the MAC-10.”
The Taped Grip would bring the same value to other SMGs, but the content creator states that the Sten is naturally the fastest SMG in the game, and its base speed is superior to other SMGs, which makes it the ideal choice.
Your ability to finesse enemies with fast movement in Warzone will skyrocket when using this Sten loadout “I legitimately feel like I’m running around with Dead Silence, 140 FOV, and the new speed boost tokens.”
