Vanguard and Warzone Pacific delay

Previously scheduled to release on December 3 and 4, Vanguard & Warzone Pacific Season 1 have now been pushed back.

Much to the disappointment of Call of Duty fans, the long-awaited debut of Warzone Pacific has been delayed. An official announcement hit the Call of Duty Twitter on November 19. Previously, fans were expecting to get their hands on the new Warzone map on December 3 and 4.

The two-day release was meant to give Vanguard players early access to the new map. This also means that Vanguard players will have to endure the barebones preseason for three more weeks before the release of Vanguard Season 1.

When is Vanguard Season 1 and Warzone Pacific release date?

Players can officially get their hands on Warzone Pacific: Caldera on December 8. The December 8 release date is exclusive to Call of Duty: Vanguard owners. Open access to the free-to-play game will be available one day later on December 9.

Vanguard players have already noted how hollow the current state of Vanguard’s multiplayer feels. With little to no rewards, no full battle pass, and plenty of additional content missing, it is hard to imagine Vanguard players took the news well.

From the initial release date to the official launch of Season 1, Vanguard players will have had to wait over a month for the game’s content plan to actually take shape. There’s no doubt Call of Duty fans will be eager to get their hands on new weapons, gear, maps, and operators come December 8.

Some sources are claiming that this isn’t the first major delay to take place. The originally planned date for Warzone Pacific and Season 1 integration was November 23.

Waiting five additional days isn’t the end of the world. However, this marks yet another disappointment in a long list currently plaguing the Call of Duty franchise.

One can only hope the extra days will result in as smooth a launch as can be.
