Following the official roadmap reveal of Season 3 for both Vanguard and Warzone Pacific, players were finally given a look at the new weapons that will be arriving.

Excitement for Vanguard & Warzone Season 3 is starting to build as players got their first glimpse at the new season thanks to the release of the roadmap. Not only did we get a better look at the new Godzilla and King Kong event, but we also got a glimpse at some new Vanguard content like the Trophy System.

One of the most intriguing pieces of content coming for both Vanguard and Warzone in Season 3 are the new weapons, so let’s take a look at them in detail.

Players will be getting four new weapons in Season 3 for both Vanguard and Warzone all from different weapon classes.

Two of the four will be dropping on the release of the new season, which is April 27, while the other two will be dropping with the mid-season update.

M1916: Marksman Rifle

First off we have the M1916 Marksman Rifle, which will be dropping upon launch of Season 3 for both Warzone Pacific and Vanguard.

Not much information has been shared about how players will be able to unlock this weapon but based on previous seasons, we expect it to be in the Season 3 Battle Pass at around Tier 15.

As this weapon is a Marksmen Rifle, players would think to employ a long-range, tactical playstyle with this weapon, complementing it with a close-range secondary. However, the Call of Duty blog describes the weapon as:

“A semi-automatic rifle with a combination of power and fire rate. Impressive at any range in the hands of a capable marksman.”

Nikita AVT: Assault Rifle

Next up we have the Nikita AVT, which sounds like it could be a contender for the top spot in the Assualt Rifle meta in Season 3, as it is also arriving at launch.

We also expect this weapon to be available through the Season 3 Battle Pass for Warzone and Vanguard at around Tier 30, but until we have more information on the BP for the new season this is just speculation.

The weapon is described as “accurate and reliable with best-in-class fire rate,” which is suitable for players who like SMGs but are looking for something with better mid-ranged capabilities.

H4 Blixen: SMG

We also have the H4 Blixen, which will be coming with the mid-season update during Season 3: Classified Arms, and will likely be unlocked through a challenge.

SMGs have been very dominant recently, especially as Rebirth Island has become extremely popular over Season 2. The Blixen is said to share characteristics of both the Sten and PPSH-41, which is an interesting combination of weapons.

This SMG may have great close and mid-range capabilities, but as it is coming mid-season, we won’t have much more information on it until we get close to the mid-point of Season 3.

Sledgehammer: Melee

Lastly, a new melee weapon will be arriving in Vanguard and Warzone Season 3 called the Junkyard Jet Sledgehammer. This will be arriving in-season and will definitely bring joy to those who enjoy running around the map smashing enemies up with close-combat melee weapons.

The design is especially interesting, as the head of the hammer seems to be a jet taken straight from an aircraft. As it’s arriving in-season, the devs have confirmed that there will be an unlock challenge for players to obtain it and also a “new Store Bundle that will feature this bludgeoning tool.”

That’s all for the new weapons coming in Warzone and Vanguard Season 3. If you’re interested in more on the new season, check out the Ranked Play rewards and new Multiplayer maps coming to Vanguard.
