CoD: Vanguard players don’t want Modern Warfare & Cold War style camo unlocks

Like any Call of Duty, Vanguard lets players show off their skill through weapon camos. Yet, players aren’t happy with the requirements for unlocking Vanguard weapon camos.

Call of Duty has a lot for players to unlock from the start. By leveling up your player level, you unlock more guns, perks, etc. By leveling up weapons, you unlock new attachments. This sense of progression is almost constant.

Camos are one of the most popular things players can unlock for their weapons in Call of Duty games, but Modern Warfare made a major change to how these camos can be unlocked. This change consists of players having to reach specific levels to unlock a camo category before they can earn the camos.

This style of camo unlocks continued in Black Ops Cold War and could possibly be making a return in Call of Duty: Vanguard, which has some players less than pleased.

Players aren’t happy with Vanguard Camo unlocks

Reddit user u/Peytronizer posted their thoughts to r/CODVanguard regarding the potential camo unlock system. They are displeased that you might have to level up your weapons before you can start camo challenges. And a number of comments agreed with this sentiment.

Some comments suggested that Vanguard’s camo challenges should reflect that of CoD: Mobile. Let players make progress in camo challenges from the start, but keep the camos locked behind a weapon’s level.

This would prevent players from having to wait until they hit level 40 to start working on some of the more arduous tasks. This compromise would keep players in-game without the frustration of the elongated grind.

That being said, are camos really causing a problem? Are you okay with the current Vanguard camo unlock system, or should they make the changes the community is calling for? Let us know your thoughts on our Charlie INTEL Facebook Page and Charlie INTEL Twitter Page!
