To showcase Call of Duty: Vanguard’s realism, Activision invited real war photojournalists Alex Potter and Sebastiano Tomada Piccolomini inside Vanguard’s engine to capture WW2 photos as if they were really there.

Photo Mode has been commonplace in video games over the past few years, allowing players to snap beautiful images of their favorite games.

Activision has taken this a step further by allowing actual war photojournalists, Alex Potter and Sebastiano Tomada Piccolomini, inside Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Game Engine to take photos as if “they were embedded within the war missions themselves.”

In support of Call of Duty Endowment, Activision invited war journalists Alex Potter and Sebastiano Tomada Piccolomini, who have reported on battles in places such as the Middle East, to go inside CoD: Vanguard’s Game Engine to capture photos of WW2 battles.

Vanguard runs on Modern Warfare (2019)’s engine, which has a strong focus on realism. In a press release via Business Wire, Activision Blizzard’s Chief Marketing Officer, Fernando Machado, said, “We tested its realism by sending in Alex Potter and Sebastiano Tomada Piccolomini with special camera-like portals into the game engine itself, which took them back in time as if they were a photographer in that period, showing how real Vanguard will truly look and feel to gamers everywhere.”

In the trailer released for the photoshoot, we can see Alex Potter and Sebastiano Tomada Piccolomini move around Activision’s motion capture studio, taking photos as if they were in the WW2 battles.

In the short film, Alex Potter explained that it “felt like they were situations that I would normally capture” and Sebastian Tomada said that “I was impressed how kinetic the game was because everything is actually happening and moving around you. This is what war looks like.”

Limited edition prints of the images that the war journalists captured will be sold at BleeckerTrading.com, with all proceeds going towards Call of Duty Endowment, Activision’s charity that helps to place veterans into “meaningful jobs.”

Vanguard Season 1 is almost here, and it features a plethora of new content, like a new Warzone map, the Season 1 Battle Pass, and some cool new weapons for players to try out.

One of these new additions is the Sawtooth Melee Weapon which you will be able to get your hands on in the Vanguard and Warzone integration. In case you’re wondering how to unlock it, this guide has you covered.

Here’s how to get the Sawtooth in Vanguard and Warzone Season 1.

How to unlock the Sawtooth Melee Weapon in Warzone & Vanguard

You can unlock the Sawtooth Melee Weapon in Vanguard and Warzone by reaching Tier 37 in the Season 1 Battle Pass. This is fairly simple and there are two ways for you to get this done.

The first method is the most straightforward and it involves you playing through multiple matches as you gradually progress through the Battle Pass. You can check out our guide on how to level up fast in Vanguard.

Alternatively, you can pay for a Tier-Skip bundle on day one to immediately progress through the first 20 Tiers of the Battle Pass. This will speed up the process and you’ll be able to get the Sawtooth much quicker.

The Sawtooth is the first Melee Weapon in the Vanguard Season 1 Battle Pass. Sewn with shark’s teeth along the club’s perimeter, the Sawtooth is capable of slicing up foes with great efficiency.

Season 1 will also bring other fun additions like new maps, perks, and Zombies content. You can check out all of these changes in the full Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 1 patch notes.

Warzone & Vanguard Season 1 has introduced the new Cooper Carbine, an Assault Rifle that excels in close-range combat. Here’s how you can unlock this weapon.

Vanguard & Warzone Season 1 brings a ton of new content for both games, with new weapons, multiplayer maps, operators, and the highly-anticipated Pacific Caldera battle royale map.

Season 1 will introduce five new weapons in total, with two guns and two melee weapons dropping straight away. Alongside the Gorenko Anti-Tank Sniper Rifle, players will also get their hands on the Cooper Carbine Assault Rifle.

While ARs usually work best at long range, the Cooper Carbine excels in close-quarters combat. Here’s how you can unlock the gun in Vanguard & Warzone Season 1.

How to unlock Cooper Carbine Assault Rifle

Getting your hands on this assault rifle is extremely easy, as all you need to do is reach Tier 15 of the Vanguard & Warzone Season 1 Battle Pass to unlock the Cooper Carbine.

That means you don’t need to complete any specific challenges, and can just play matches in either game to earn XP and level up your Battle Pass.

If you don’t want to wait, you can purchase the Premium Battle Pass and receive 20 Tiers immediately, but you can still choose not to and grab the Cooper Carbine for free.

As soon as you hit Tier 15 of the Battle Pass, the Cooper Carbine will immediately be added to your inventory. You’ll then be able to create loadouts with it in both Vanguard and Warzone.

The Cooper Carbine is a very interesting weapon. Despite being classed as an Assault Rifle, it functions best at short range, meaning it feels more like an SMG than anything else.

Warzone & Vanguard Season 1 introduces the brand-new Gorenko Anti-Tank Sniper Rifle. Here’s how you can unlock this powerful weapon in both games.

The beginning of Vanguard Season 1 brings a host of new content for both it and Warzone, new operators, multiplayer maps, weapons, and the Pacific Caldera map for the series’ popular battle royale.

Season 1 will introduce five new weapons into the mix for Call of Duty fans, with everything from melee weapons to assault rifles. The most interesting addition is the Gorenko Anti-Tank Sniper Rifle, which is set to be the most powerful sniper in the game.

You won’t want to miss out on your chance to get your hands on this weapon, so we’ve got everything you need to unlock the Gorenko Anti-Tank Sniper Rifle in Vanguard & Warzone Season 1.

How to unlock Gorenko Anti-Tank Sniper Rifle

The good news is that getting your hands on this powerful weapon is very straightforward, and won’t require you to complete any frustrating challenges.

To unlock the Gorenko Anti-Tank Sniper Rifle, all you need to do is reach Tier 31 in the Vanguard & Warzone Season 1 Battle Pass.

That means you can earn the right to wield the weapon just by playing games. If grinding for the weapon doesn’t sound like your thing, you can choose to purchase premium skips to avoid playing matches and unlock the Gorenko straight away.

As soon as you hit Tier 31, the sniper rifle will be immediately added to your arsenal, and you’ll be able to add it to any loadout in Warzone or Vanguard.

While the Gorenko does have a slow fire rate and strong recoil, its damage is the highest in its category, which means it could become a replacement for the always-popular Kar98k with the right attachments.

Before jumping into the major update, check out everything that’s coming in Vanguard’s Season 1 patch notes, or take a look at the best Warzone sniper rifles to see where this weapon will fit.
