Warzone 2 players received a ton of new information by way of the Season 2 deep dive blog. However, many are shocked that there was no mention of the highly requested Combat Record feature.

Unlike Modern Warfare 2 fans, Warzone 2 players received info on plenty of changes set to arrive with the Season 2 update. Many of the changes that the devs are choosing to implement in Warzone 2 Season 2 were concerns that the community brought up.

Despite the announcement of positive Warzone 2 changes, some players couldn’t help but notice the glaring absence of a long-awaited feature. While the blog highlights changes to looting, the Gulag, and Perks, there was absolutely no mention of a Combat Record or Leaderboards.

Warzone 2 players have been demanding proper stats alongside Call of Duty’s classic Combat Record since launch. Warzone 2’s Combat Record was supposed to arrive with the Season 1 Reloaded update, but the devs announced a delay which caused major outrage.

While the devs confirmed that they’d be working to get the Combat Record and Leaderboard features up and running, Warzone 2 players couldn’t help but notice neither was mentioned in the Season 2 deep dive blog.

No mention of Combat Record in Warzone 2 Season 2 blog

Disappointed Warzone 2 players took to Reddit to point out the omission and the impact it’s having on the state of the battle royale. One player asked if “anyone else feel like the game just feels way more pointless and uncompetitive without any stats or leaderboards?”

To which the majority of players wholeheartedly agreed, with one saying it even made their friends stop playing Warzone 2: “Yeah, 100% few of my mates stopped playing when they said stats were delayed and then also meant to be reset.”

It seems this was a common occurrence among players who claim to have “uninstalled it pending S2” because they “refuse to play without a detailed record and stats.” It seems those who had hopes that the Season 2 update would deliver the missing feature are incredibly disappointed.

The absence of stats and rankings seems to have removed the long-term incentive of grinding Warzone 2, with many dropping the battle royale as a result.

The Season 2 deep dive blog baffled players with no mention of a Combat Record, and they’re now begging for a proper response from the devs: “We just need some clarity, any little form of communication really.”
