Warzone 2 players call for major change to overpowered Self Revives
Warzone 2 players are frustrated with how Self Revives work in the game, calling for the devs to make major changes.
Warzone 2 Season 1 has seen a lot of criticism so far, with Dr Disrespect even believing that the game will be “done” if the first big patch doesn’t deliver an abundance of fixes.
As the Warzone 2 player count has halved just one month after release, the devs are likely planning to entice players back with the Season 1 Reloaded update. However, one of the big issues in the game that players feel needs to be addressed is the use of Self Revives.
Self Revives can be stowed in Warzone 2, leading to players being able to get back up after being downed multiple times. This is leading to outrage among the community, with clips being posted showing how strong it is.
Reddit user NoseniH shared a clip of a player using three Self Revives to cheat death and ultimately win the game. In the description, the OP says “this is just stupid,” and that “storing multiple Self Revives shouldn’t be a thing.”
The main issue here is that the player uses more than one Self Revive thanks to the new looting system, which allows players to stow Self Revive Kits. Players are already not too happy with the looting system in Warzone 2, so this issue is just compounding the problem.
The Reddit user even says “you lost the gunfight fair and square, why should you be allowed more chances to win,” confused by the dev’s choices.
Another player shared a similar Warzone 2 play on Twitter, winning the game after reviving themselves three times while in the gas, sarcastically saying “and that’s why you carry six f**king self res [Self Revives].”
Users in the comments of this post further criticized the way players can carry a bunch of Self Revives in Warzone 2, with one comment reading “I’m upset it was designed this way. You shouldn’t be able to carry more than one. Bad game design.”
We’ll have to wait and see if the devs make any changes to the Self Revive in Warzone 2, but as many have been complaining about the looting system, we wouldn’t be surprised if a revamp was inbound.
