Warzone 2 players claim Loadout changes mean game is headed in “right direction”
Loadouts are back in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 and unsurprisingly fans are delighted to have them back with players believing that Warzone 2 is trending in the right direction.
Raven Software dropped a bombshell on December 20, 2022, by declaring that “Loadout Drop Grenades” are now live in Warzone 2.
OG Warzone fans who are familiar with the first game and also Warzone Pacific will remember that you could buy scramble some money together and buy a Loadout Drop from a Buy Station.
It was decided that Warzone 2 would go in a different direction and only allow players to buy a single weapon at Shops in Warzone 2, but now, for the time being, at least, players can purchase Loadout Drops again.
If you have $8,000 in Solos, $16,000 in Duos, $24,000 in Trios, or $32,000 in Quads, then you can purchase a Loadout in Warzone 2 that will give you your custom-made loadouts created before you entered into a game.
With Strongholds and Safecracker contracts available and hidden caches strewn around Al Mazrah, getting the cash together shouldn’t be much of an issue, and players are happy.
“The prices need tuned however I think this is a big step in the right direction,” said one player, and another offered: “Good to see them acting on this now but this should never have happened in the first place. No need to reinvent the wheel when you have a winning formula.”
Lots of players have pointed to the fact it seems that Raven Software has presumably taken onboard the brunt of the responsibility for Warzone 2 and Infinity Ward have stepped back a bit.
“Yeah IW is definitely not the lead developer on WZ anymore,” said one user, and one more said: “Raven is back. So glad to see all the improvements to the pacing of the game.”
We still can’t be 100% sure of who’s in charge of Warzone 2, but the Loadout Drop change could just be the start, and only time will tell how much the devs decide to change.
