Warzone 2 players desperate for “insta death” Shotgun nerfs as KV Broadside dominates
Warzone 2 features plenty of powerful Shotguns that can be used to obliterate your enemies up close, but many players feel that an “insta death” Shotgun could use major nerfs.
When you jump into Warzone 2, you’ll find no shortage of deadly weaponry that’s suited to a variety of different playstyles, including long-range Sniper Rifles and SMGs for close-range combat encounters.
Shotguns are another popular weapon choice for close-quarters battles because of the high damage that they can dish out. However, the Warzone 2 community feels that one particular Shotgun is too effective at the moment.
Reddit user ‘JustLawly’ highlighted this issue in the Warzone 2 subreddit, asking players if they’re tired of the “insta death Shotguns” and calling for the developers to implement weapon balance patches.
This was referring to the KV Broadside that arrived in Season 2, and many in the thread agreed that it needs changes. One user stated: “Most normal people were tired the first time and are still tired the tenth time they added a broken Shotgun.”
Another player added that they would be “completely fine with taking [the Shotgun] out of the game.” While some players were fine with it being powerful at close range, there were a few suggestions to make the weapon feel more balanced.
One of the commenters stated it would be much better balanced if “you couldn’t ADS when firing and the recoil was something far more fierce than it is.” This would serve as a penalty for using the Shotgun.
A few players described the weapon as “objectively broken” before asking the developers to fix it. A major concern for players is finding a balance so that the devs can nerf the Shotgun without making it useless.
