CoD players are keen to see the Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded update make some big changes to akimbo Pistols as they are causing havoc.

Every now and again Warzone players have discovered that certain a combination of akimbo Pistols can be simply devastating. In seasons gone by, akimbo Diamattis, akimbo Renettis, and akimbo Sykovs are just some of the setups we’ve seen in loadouts.

They can be underrated, and as we’ve seen in Warzone 2 recently, akimbo pistols well and truly seem to be back, so much so that players want them to be nerfed in Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded.

In a post on the Warzone subreddit, one user posted a video clip with a very simple message they were trying to get across: “Akimbo needs a nerf.”

The reason for this is the clip they shared in which they were in a stairwell with a complete akimbo Pistol loadout, and faced two enemy players head-on.

In what should’ve been a tough situation for the OP, it became child’s play as they downed both players in just a few shots with each Pistol.

Both players seemed to be fully kitted out with max shields and yet it barely took a second for the Pistols to wipe out both players before they even had a chance to blink.

“I agree OP. Yes, they may be useless outside of 15 feet, but if I run into a player within those 15 feet, I don’t feel I deserve to die purely for being in a building. There is no counter other than don’t get anywhere near the enemy using them. Which some may say sounds fair but am I just to assume every player in a building has them?” offered one Reddit user.

Another user explained: “The fact that a semi-auto Shotgun can’t compete with these at CQC is a testament to why these should be nerfed. I can’t get two shots out quick enough before I’m instantly sent to the Gulag within 1/5th of a second. Really hoping to see a nerf come December 14th.”

With that being said, December 14 marks the arrival of Season 1 Reloaded, and there are likely to be some interesting buffs and nerfs, but we’ll have to wait and see.
