According to leaked images of internal Activision documents, players won’t have to wait long for the launch of Warzone 2 as the official release date has been revealed.

With Modern Warfare 2 set to release on October 28, plenty of Call of Duty fans were wondering when Warzone 2 would launch. Given that Activision are working on delivering both titles on a shared engine and that the devs began to tease a Warzone 2 reveal at the upcoming Call of Duty Next event, many suspected that it could arrive shortly after MW2.

It turns out this is looking increasingly likely as a leaked Activision document has shared the tentative release date for Warzone 2. The leaked image is making its way around Reddit and other social media websites as players discover what seems to be the official Warzone 2 release date.

When is Warzone 2’s release date?

According to the leaked image, Warzone 2 is set to release on November 16. This is less than a month after the full release of Modern Warfare 2, which means players won’t have to wait long to jump into the battle royale sequel.

Activision have yet to confirm the launch date, but given the issues that faced the devs when Warzone Pacific launched right before the 2021 holiday season, it’s no surprise to see a November 16 release date for Warzone 2.

This should give the devs ample time to fix any unexpected bugs and glitches that may arise before the majority of the development team is given time off for the holiday season.

As you can see from the image, the release dates for several Activision titles including WoW and Diablo are visible alongside Warzone 2.

With three weeks to grind Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer before the launch of Warzone 2, there’s no doubt that players will be leveling up the weapons they believe will excel in the battle royale environment.
