Warzone 2 Resurgence fans completely fed up with “dripfed” Ashika Island playlists
ActivisionWarzone 2 players were promised all squad sizes when Ashika Island debuted in Season 2, but the devs continue to hold back playlists. It seems players are fed up with the lack of playlist options on Ashika Island.
Warzone 2 Season 2 introduced players to a ton of new content including four new weapons and the brand-new Ashika Island Resurgence map. Players were excited by the prospect of exploring Ashika Island and diving into the Resurgence mode given the popularity of Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep.
Unfortunately, while the map has been well received by players, many are frustrated with the limitations enforced by the devs. According to players, the active Resurgence playlists available on Ashika Island at one time are extremely limiting.
To make matters worse, the devs promised all squad sizes for Ashika Island at the start of Season 2. Clearly, this hasn’t been the case, with playlists rotating in and out each week.
Players are frustrated with “dripfed” Ashika Island playlists that are preventing them from enjoying the map to the fullest.
Fans of Warzone 2’s Resurgence map Ashika Island have yet to experience the wide range of playlist options that were promised. First, the devs began with a Quads-only playlist, which is extremely limiting for those who don’t have friends to party up with.
They then added Solos, before removing it after one weekend. At the moment, players can only experience Quads and Duos on Ashika Island.
Players in the replies to the above Tweet began to speculate on the strange decision: “Willing to bet the player base isn’t big enough this CoD to have all the playlists splitting the players.”
Others simply couldn’t wrap their head around the devs’ choice to actively limit their player base with one saying, “I really don’t understand how we can’t have all the playlists and you come and play what you desire, why should anyone have to wait to play their favorite mode.”
With the devs seemingly going back on their promise to deliver all squad sizes at launch, it’ll be interesting to note if their strategy changes leading up to the Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded update, given the growing discontent among players.
