Warzone 2’s “pay to lose” $20 skin completely blocks players’ view
Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2’s store went live with the Season 1 update, but it includes a “pay to lose” skin for $20 that’s blocking players’ views.
Like the past few CoD games, Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 feature a store full of skins that players can apply to their Operators and weapons. The store officially went live with Season 1 alongside the new Battle Pass, and soccer stars such as Neymar Jr are arriving as part of the Modern Warfare FC event.
However, one of Season 1’s store bundles, the ‘VII: Sloth’ ghillie suit bundle has been branded “pay to lose” because the suit’s cloth strips fall in front of their eye line and completely block their view.
The original Warzone suffered from plenty of “pay to win” skins, with the devs adjusting the black-suited Roze skin several times and others offering players invisibility. Warzone 2 seems to have avoided any pay-to-win element, but the new 2,400 CoD Point Desidia ghillie suit skin is causing the opposite problem.
Reddit user ‘killergahndi’ took to the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit and shared that the “$20 Ghillie Suit Blocks your sight when you ADS.” They attached a video proving that the cloth strips fall completely in front of their eyes, covering the whole screen.
This led to players branding the skin “pay to lose.” The OP wasn’t the only one to have the issue either, as another player said that it would obstruct their view at “random moments” and they’re “glad it wasn’t only me.”
Another said that the skin has the issue with “Canted laser on primary weapons and almost all pistols no matter the sight,” explaining that “Going into Gulag with this skin and trying to strafe right will blind you completely, it’s hilarious.”
Raven Software have a few bug fixes lined up, including bringing back the Most Wanted Contract after an XP glitch and players immediately dying without getting knocked, but the “pay to lose” skin hasn’t been logged yet.
