A new teaser for the upcoming Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 4 has started playing when loading up the game, revealing what’s next for Stitch and Adler in Call of Duty.

We’re now only days away from the next stage in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone’s developing story, where we expect to see new weapons, multiplayer maps, and Operators.

The next season will officially be revealed on June 10, but Activision has teased the upcoming storyline with a cinematic that now appears when you launch Warzone and Cold War. Here’s the cutscene and what it could mean for the story’s future in Season 4.

Black Ops Cold War’s multiplayer continued the campaign’s story when Russel Adler’s nemesis, Stitch, set a trap for him in a shopping mall in New Jersey. Adler was captured and taken to Laos, so Woods and his task force traveled to get him back and stop the Nova Gas threat.

The Nova-6 threat proved to only be a distraction and Woods’ team was too late to save Adler but discovered that something was going down in Verdansk. Warzone and Black Ops Cold War’s stories then fully combined in Season 3 when Stitch took the kidnapped Adler to 1984 Verdansk. As part of the Hunt for Adler event, Woods’ team successfully found Adler, and now the story continues ahead of Season 4.

In this previously-leaked clip, we can see Stitch, Wraith, and Knight hatch the next stage of their evil plan, saying that their “work with [Adler] is done.”

The villains discuss how “The Verdansk test subjects are in place,” but don’t provide any more details on what this entails. Perhaps it’s something to do with the Numbers program, or maybe it teases the Zombie outbreak that caused modern-day Verdansk to be destroyed.

This new cinematic once again references the leaked Red Door fast travel system, and a “man in South Africa,” which is potentially a new Operator for Season 4.

We’re likely to know more when Cold War and Warzone Season 4 is officially revealed on June 10, ahead of its expected release on June 17.
